This counts anyone that booted up the game once after downloading it on Gamepass in addition. It's a deceiving statistic.
Cant wait til it says 50 million players, but still counting the 48 million that dropped off months prior. They will tally everyone that downloaded it on gamepass and booted it up once. If Netflix did this there would be alot of terrible shows with millions and millions of viewers that never got past the opening pilot. Deceiving, manipulative marketing statistic.
according to the timeline, current Series X and S will be discontinued next fall. See the "EOL" comments
This is exactly how I feel. They are consistent. If we do a break down year by year for Xbox like this you'll see they take every other year off and even the years on are slim pickens. This what have you done for me lately type nonsense is smoke and mirrors to deflect how poorly the main competitor has performed. You forgot Humanity in 2023 ;)
Revenue means absolutely nothing without knowing how much is paid out to publishers / operating costs.
This is a pretty underwhelming list if accurate.
Microsoft buys Nintendo - all employees resign. There is zero chance this would be a smooth purchase and all the talent stays. Rare part 2. This would be incredibly sad because they would be destroying Nintendo franchises.
But neither of these are GOTY material.
Because it isn't seamless on GTA5. Nowhere close with a load screen.
People are harsh because it was hyped to be the game of the generation. This is what happens in fanboy wars.
The internet is designed for roasting. This game was hyped as the game of the generation and it’s not. Humans are now doing what comes natural on the internet….roasting. Hence the higher traffic on more negative posts. It was GOTY according to Xbox fanatics before it came out and now it’s simply backfiring
define successful? 6 million players at launch.....how many are Steam vs Xbox GamePass? 22 million Series X|S units sold not including PC numbers. Seems rather tame...and reviews certainly are becoming more mixed. Not the generational game it was hyped to be. It's successful in that it wasn't Redfall all over again, but it certainly isn't anything new.
The games are just mediocre. It’s a continuation of their lack of ability to manage their studios and maintain quality control. Redfall was a complete bust, Starfield won’t be a GOTY candidate and was hyped to all hell. Forza is the last hope for 2023. I don’t doubt this teams ability to make a great racing game but I think 3 years into this generation, people are becoming skeptics and tired of overpromises and under delivering.
He didn't do anything, it was coming to Xbox regardless lol.
Or maybe some people just don't like it. Which is a very realistic possibility....this isn't a 12 hour action packed banger..... it's a 40 hour sludge. Not for everyone.
their next major game won't be for another 4-5 years now so Metro won't care im sure.
Hayter: isn't it funny to list off 10000 PS5 games scoring well but only 1 for xbox? Also funny is comparing a free game like Astro's Playroom and a 10 hour expansion like lost legacy to the Game of the Generation, Starfield.
I think the problem is if they increase FOV in cockpit view it’s 1) harder to see further into the distance and 2) the depth perception is off for turns. I’d like a bit more of a view also but I worry about these things.
For a racing purist these games both fit the bill. They are just different enough to fill the void for everyones preferences.
In all likelihood, yes. Different users.
