Same here, but this does blend in with some of the more contemporary styled homes better. The matted surface is much more resilient against smudges and scratches but it doesn't have that chrome finished look anymore. It also requires less power to run, which explains the decrease in vents.
They should also produce some limited edition GT5, FFXIII, and MGS4 ones when those games come out. I know quite a lot of people who would love to have one of those bundled with the game.
I care more about Japanese games than western ones, so I'm excited about 2008. The first two big epic RPGs will be between PS3's White Knight Story (which is due out December 2007 actually) from Level 5 and 360's Lost Odyssey. The next one should be between Infinite Discovery and Final Fantasy XIII.
I bought a PS3 for Japanese RPGs (since as much as I liked Jade Empire, Neverwinter Night, and those other western ones, they just couldn't match the flavor Japanese ones had), so I...
I don't know FIFA has more detail but looks jagged, which should mean it doesn't use much AA.
I can't believe they are ranked above Square Enix...
The faster BD can completely dominate the format wars, the lighter the losses will be for ill informed consumers who buys a soon obsolete HD-DVD player. Sony just needs Warner Bros to join its exclusive camp and that will basically seal it.
Bioshock was more disturbing than scary. I'm hoping the new Silent Hills will give me a good scare.
Probably just got enough in their warehouse now so that they won't run out of stock.
If you want to play PS2 games in their best quality, get a PS2. I've played PS2 games on a PS2 through component cable and 60GB PS3 through the same and certain games looks better (in terms of color, saturation, vibrancy, and hue) on the PS2. The same goes for the software emulation, it has been shown that it looks better than hardware emulation due to certain post processing due in software, like smoothing.
Especially now that Disney has Pixar back. I would love to get some of the new Pixar movies and old Disney classics on BD this holiday. Life is good.
I wish more games would use a better firing from behind obstacles mechanism than this. I like how Syphon Filter does it.
Yeah, I think that's a pretty good estimate. Sony's expectation seems a bit steep at doubling to 11 million, but I think 9 million is definitely possible for the PS3.
So this is his version of a job resume to be hired by Gabe (from Valve)?
I'm a big Disgaea fan for its hardcore gameplay and humour. I've got the two PS2 releases and the upcoming PSP rerelease. I can't wait for the third installment.
Though I do thing Sony is spreading themselves a bit thin, I also believe it might payoff in the future. In the meantime, the games available on the horizon are easy to look forward to and the games already/soon available is already a cash drain for me. Looking at exclusives only (though I do want Assassin's Creed and Kane & Lynch) Ratch & Clank is a must have, Haze peaks at my interest, Uncharted is really promising, and GT 5 Prologue is hard to resist. I also want Heavenly Sword, Fo...
But then again Sony will have price cut, the new 40GB, and the silver models to satisfy people a little low on cash, already has a PS2, or need a more sexy color, respectively. Sony is not going to loose Japan to 360 until the titles coming from the Mystwalker studio, funded by MS, becomes big and successful like Square Enix, Level 5, or Tri-Ace. MS's two big hopes are Infinite Discovery and Lost Odyssey to against White Knight Chronicles, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and Final Fantasy XIII, if...
Yeah, the main problem with the wii is the lack of big titles. I guess with their limited production capabilities and predicted demands, they thought they might as well wait until 2008 for their other two big titles. I think Mario Galaxy should do pretty well.
It's only two hopes right now are Beautiful Katamari (looks like an upscaled version of the PS2 releases) and Ace Combat 6. The following week's charts should be interesting to see if some exclusively bought games can help the 360.
What happens on the 30th?
If you are talking about discounts, then HD-DVD is guilty of the same tactics. The latest one is buy a 360 HD-DVD add-on and get 5 movies, a copy of King Kong, and the first season of Heroes. THAT is what you call giving it out for free. I mean jeez for a add-on drive, they just gave out over half a dozen discs (not sure how many a season of Heroes uses). The worst Blu Ray did was just B1G1, which helps them sell those trilogies that appear on Blu Ray (I used the chance to get a lot of Blockb...
Well DVD is obviously not going away for a long time, since you must remember that we even still have CD with us after all these years, but next gen storage is here to stay.
BD is the dominant one because it has more supporters (studios and companies), larger storage (up to 100GB now), and already have second generation BD-R drives on sale. Almost everyone, except Toshiba, Microsoft, and Paramount, are saying that BD will win. The only way for HD-DVD to still say in the game is...
