I think it is amazing this is the kind of games we are getting within two years of launch of a "difficult to develop for" console. Since GT 4 surpassed even GT 3, I am just dying to know what GT 6 can do beyond GT 5. If this is the prologue demo (demo of a preview), I can't wait for the full game (hopefully with damage modeling).
Now that was a nice chase scene. I can't wait for another great game to come to the PS3.
Ok I just saw the preview video of it and it looked good. I think it is cell shaded and it looks intense. These games based on animes are a dime a dozen and rarely any good, but I hope this one is. This plus a good one based on Bleach, Gantz, and One Piece would be cool.
Well it's not surprising these days to see memories fade faster than checks, it would be nice to see more integrity (maybe not the best word for it) from developers when so many of them are bleeding old franchises dry for money. Though I can't blame Capcom for their business decision, as a long time PS fan and having owned almost every one of their releases on the PS2, I am disappointed as a consumer. It is not so much in the lack of exclusive as the old notion that developers just don't spen...
Not that I trust vgchart, this is hopeful news for all PS3 fans and potential buyers.
I hope Activision is one of the developers/publishers who are willing to put in the effort to get its reward.
Ratchet & Clank in an instant here as well. Probably will get Eye of Judgment since its a good bundle in which you get the Eye as well.
I think calling a demo a mess has nothing to do with the actual game being one. Tutorials in demos usually don't work so well especially if its a built-in tutorial that is part of the campaign if it doesn't want to spoil any plots. The balancing is a tweaking issue that can still be fixed before the game itself goes gold. The lack of a functionality of a demo has nothing to do with the actual game.
I'll wait until the actual come out and I go buy then play it before I make my c...
From the cars right down to the trees themselves, GT 5 Prologue Demo (can't believe this is just a demo) looks better. But we need a better in-game screenshots than just taking a picture of a HDTV.
I'm really confused by what you are trying to say. I never insulted Valve at all. I simply said it was a challenge to develop for that has a high potential payoff in the end and disagreed with Valve's decision to pass it on to another developer for the port. And for your information, I've played through the entire Half Life series, including most of the mods and expansions, ever since Freeman entered Black Mesa and I have the Orange Box on my PC and I have been enjoying TF2 on my spare time. ...
I just hope Sony promotes this game well.
Microsoft does have a big overhead. You see when a company manufactures and sells a product, they must put in the cost of the product the warranty and need to refurbish the product, I'm guessing due to the fiasco a few months ago, MS has increased this allowance. And they probably needed to allocate from elsewhere (maybe the new 360s) much higher than expected rate of failure for the old 360s.
In the business world its never just about the costs of the chips and the price you s...
Lol, I agree. This should appear on slickdeals or fatwallet instead, but good news for the PS3.
I can't wait for LittleBigPlanet and Singstar. When is DDR ever coming to the PS3? Oh well, too late, I already got an adapter for my PS2 version.
I just like to note that for the 360 he forgot Ace Combat 6, and for the PS3 he forgot Uncharted and Haze. Why do these analyst always leave things out?
Though I agree with you, I doubt Toshiba and MS are going to go down without a fight. They will either retaliate with price cuts, more holiday bundles, or try to form alliances with some other studio. The good news for Sony is basically that if their PS3 does well, it almost assures them that the BD format will as well. They were smart to bundle the Spiderman 3 movie with each 40GB to first create a tiny bit more attractive bundle and more importantly showcase its ability to play BD movies (s...
Yeah, me too. Who started that anyways with all the anti-Sony and anti-PS3 sentiments on forums and in the news? But I hope its dying down now so we can get some real news and discussions. Maybe an open gaming platform would be a good thing in the far future...
I'll name you a big developer who probably won't be doing business with MS for awhile. Level 5 had a very bad experience with MS when developing that MMORG game True Fantasy Online Live and finally had to cancel it due to unrelenting pressure from MS. They parted on very poor terms. Bungie's parting may be better but they obviously didn't want to be restricted by MS either.
Though I've heard of Valve and a few sports developers from EA (I can't believe you even respect them) fi...
If the PS3 has a sale increase in October for North America, it would be from the 80GB price drop and how they finally matched prices for Canada. It happened in the second half of the month, so I think them momentum will continue into November when the 40GB comes out. Great time to be a gamer.
I would vote Orange Box should have gotten that kind of score only. It has five (I think, maybe more) AA to AAA games for a cheap launch price. Only thing better is if they included everything single game in the HL franchise in, but who knows, that may be in the Yellow or Red Box.
