If by "nuts" you mean an absolute genius when it comes to realistic game design that will really bring racing games to the next level, then yes he is nuts. The fact that he is thinking about as realistic as the actual physics that occurs when a real car doing 120 mph slams into a wall makes me absolutely curious at how he does car damage.
MS probably wouldn't want it to come to the PS3 because they will lose face, so, in the worst case scenario, I would just like it to come to the PC at least. I like good games and good story, Mass Effect has it but I'm not about to buy a 360 over it.
I think your months and weeks are messed up. The PS3 is clearly outselling the 360 on a week by week basis in EU and JP, so all that is left is for it to catch up in NA. I believe PS3 will probably tie with 360 for the rest of the year and start overtaking it during the first half of next year.
It's a disappointment, but there are enough upsides in this for me not to complain too much. Besides these days I really prefer better confirmation than that before I pout.
I just back home from college and what do I find? My five free Blu Ray movies waiting, a ton of PS3 games I've ordered, a sale on NGS at Best Buy for $40, and the only firmware I was looking forward to.
For anyone who has read my posts, you know I am a Sony fan, and today has proven to me I was not wrong in my choice for a console and that my loyalty will remain for next year.
@Liar
You are annoying
I know some people don't read the stories anywhere, but since when did they skip the title as well?
I will really like to see them do that. I didn't expect them to be able to tie with the 360 worldwide already without the 2008 hit titles, but the price drop and the new games have really helped push the console globally.
Yeah I know, I bought one from Best Buy over Thanksgiving and most of my friends with PS3s have it as well. But I guess everyone has their own tastes.
Even though I feel the same way, I still bought the $40 CoD4 for the PS3 today on Amazon. Well obviously, I would have sticked with my Activision boycott if there wasn't a strike...
From all your previous posts, it's hard for me to believe you are really waiting for this game to come out. Please don't patronize a game you'll probably criticize for not being on your platform.
I suppose that's a respectable number by itself, but not when you compare it to all the Blu Ray devices out there. I really think people buying 360s should stay away from the HD-DVD addon despite its nice low price, because there is a good chance it's gonna turn into an expensive DVD player after the holidays if WB decides to join Blu Ray. And however many people buy those addons, even if the attach rate doubles, it's not going to make a difference in the long run.
That's what every racing game should do to make themselves look better.
Unless there will be a distinct difference, I've stopped comparing cross platformers through video captured by some unknown methods and settings.
The decision to include MGO, even if its a starter pack, was a good one. I can't wait to pop it in my PS3.
Oh really? I thought it was news since I knew about the Divx support for both systems but didn't know there was a difference between the two.
Please read the first sentence from the article:
"We all know the Xbox 360 supports DivX nowadays."
Now, you were saying?
Update: That is like arguing which came first: the chicken or the egg. You say 360 was designed for gaming in mind while I see DLC being in there too. You say the PS3 was designed for video while I see it having pretty damn good first year library of games and quite a number of PS3 owners not even knowing about Blu Ray...
The second source, tipped by The Round Peg, says the following about when we should be expecting it:
"Though no specific time frame was given for this upgrade, their particular emphasis on saying it was coming soon leads us to believe it's "coming in a week or two" soon, as opposed to "4 months down the road" soon."
Let's just go play our games and maybe we'll find this feature added in a week or so.
Importing it is basically the cost of a full retail game, I went with the game so I guess I'm just gonna have to wait a lil. Or I guess I can duct tape my cellphone to my hands and get someone to call me whenever something happens on the screen...
Apparently climate and local culture is very important for game development...
Or I guess maybe it's just cheaper opening one in Colorado.
From my personal experience, piracy is a really big issue for PC game developers. I've really never bought any games until I purchased my own console, so I can see how they would be losing a lot of income that way. I've discovered that when you don't buy a game, you don't appreciate it as much and are less likely to become a devoted fan. Another issue is platforms (Windows, OSX, Linux), backwards compatibility (Vista), and driver issues (OS and versions).
