Aww why did you post this up so quickly? I was hoping to read some comments based on just the title of the article that speculates how BD is outdated.
Yeah, I have an iPod Touch (thanks MS Live cashback), but I much prefer my PSP or DS Lite for playing most games. My biggest gripe with the iTouch, which is also its biggest selling point, is the lack of buttons.
"Even if only a third of that 100 million can be attributed to games (a reasonable assumption given that a majority of the applications in the store are games), that's 33 million games downloaded since July – a full third of the total number of PSP games sold since...
You were too caught up by the hyper surrounding the JRPG crown being shifted to notice that the honor still goes to the PS2 when it comes to home consoles. I really love my PS2, especially with all the niche titles that are going to come this way at bargain prices thanks to the certification process being eased up. I really suggest first time console owners of PS3, 360, and Wii to still get a PS2.
@Le-mo
Should have jumped on the $99 Lego Batman PS2 bundle at amazon on Black Friday. Though I have a 60GB PS3, I still like the original (without upscaling and smoothing) visuals on a PS2 through component cables.
@Jenzo
At least it isn't like Infinite Undiscovery (already on last gen budget price of $20 after just three months) and Last Remnant (pre-order price of $40 and now available everywhere else for $30 after just a week).
Yeah, they need to realize we like JRPGs because they are Japanese in style, not just in origin. The reason why a lot of us love Atlus is because they give us the RPGs we can't get here from Western developers. They need to go back to focusing more on the storyline and style, taking a lesson from Persona, Lost Odyssey, and Valkryia Chronicles.
You know what the sad thing is? Their JRPGs, which used to be considered the flagship of Japanese titles coming onto western shores, are now being sold as almost budget titles. Infinite Undiscovery, barely three months old, and the just released Last Remnant (was available for preorder of only $40) can now be found for $20 and $30, respectively.
All this is going to do is reinforce their beliefs in releasing or remaking their old titles for the handhelds. But of course, the worst...
Where did you hear this? We didn't even seen a demo or beta of this game running in TGS.
Blockbuster (rival to Netflix) or Apple (rival to MS) can both provide solutions to the problem. I hope we hear something about this at GDC or next E3.
Does anyone know what the next SKU is? Is it suppose to be the integrated one (GPU + CPU on a single die)?
I think they probably will due to their recent stress testing, which is usually done to iron out the issues that might prop up from heavy traffic.
Didn't we just hear that trophies will be mandatory early next year?
Does anyone know what normal reward system this credit card has? For example, it is a point/peny for every dollar you spend. The site doesn't seem to say anything in this regard.
Well they didn't deny it...
I hope AMD starts bouncing back, I used to be a big fan of their desktop solutions. We need competition for CPUs.
Confirmation that GT staff needs a dictionary for Christmas to understand the definition of bias and irony.
Jeez, just call it weird or say you don't like it. There are a lot of civil right issues at stake these days without people like you labeling/stereotyping things you don't like that way.
And I'm not a hypocrite, I would feel the same way if Sony fans do this on 360 posts, I just happen to avoid those articles I don't like. Maybe you should do the same; the world would be a better place.
I thought it was pretty funny for some reason, definitely brought a smirk to my face. Definitely a very interesting way of stress testing the server.
A little off topic, but I'm guessing you voted for Prop 8?
Oh really? This clip really brought a smile to my face.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Who fills their arcade with remakes while frustrating developers making original games? Who has just decided to shutdown Ensemble after getting them to make a RTS for the Halo franchise? Who fills their "original" catalog of family games with Scene It (Buzz), Lips (Singstar), and You're In The Movies (EyeToy)? The sad thing is that I can go on.
