For these new releases, DVD versions aren't so much cheaper than the Blu Ray version. Look it up on Amazon (or your local B&M store), if you want the special edition the price difference is less than $5.
The Dark Knight (+ Digital Copy and BD Live) [Blu-ray] - $23.99 (MSRP $35.99)
The Dark Knight (Two-Disc Special Edition + Digital Copy) - $20.99 (MSRP $34.99)
The Dark Knight (Widescreen Single-Disc Edition) - $14.99 (MSRP $28.99)

I've read something about the Dimitri Project.
If you are the type to pay for internet browser, notepad, clock, calculator, paint, and windows update...
While I don't think multi discs are a problem (FFVII and FFVIII were on 3 and 4 discs, respectively), I do believe it makes the game more prone to failure. It's like having your data split between 3 hard drives versus one, any of them failing basically makes you unable to access all of your data anymore.
Assuming each disc has the same MTBF (taking into account chemical degradation and normal wear from use), then the total MTBF for a game is MTBF divided by the number of discs. S...
Exactly, I couldn't agree more. Despite their insistence on not being exclusive to any console, all we've seen is them pampering the MS console and user base.
If you look up the word hypocrite in a dictionary, one day there will be the SE logo right next to it.
I like his reviews quite a bit. He doesn't nitpick on games like a lot of other reviewers.
Proof that you don't need a large budget or design to appeal the western market. You just need to nail down your game, make it fun, make it run well, and do a good job in the localization.
I would love for this to sell better than the so-called next gen games that SE has been pumping out. I already got mine pre-ordered!
Though I have a 60GB PS3, I still prefer the non-smoothed output of the PS2 using component cables. Personally, I think there's no reason any JRPG fan should not have a PS2, even if they have a BC PS3.
I'll pick up the two Star Ocean PSP remakes together when the second gets released. I want to finish the two and then do the third on the PS2.
My list would be (in alphabetical order):
1) Brave Story: New Traveler
2) Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
3) Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions
4) Jeanne D'Arc
5) Star Ocean: First Departure
I think Sony struck a fine balance between letting the users customize their console and keeping pirates out. They have been the most open, for this generation, towards letting the users make their own theme, exchange game mods, use non-official peripherals, and even installing an OS. But then again, some people are just never satisfied.
I mean I've never felt at any time that there was something console can't do that pirates can add with a hacked firmware. The only things users ...
I tend to purchase used games for only two reasons. For a lot of PS1/PS2 games that are out of print, you just have to buy them used to avoid paying a premium for sealed packaging. For PS3 games, I've only bought a single used game, Lost Planet, because I want to try the game but I don't believe in supporting bad ports.
Yeah, I noticed it when I went to the playstation.com website to update my PSN profile with my collection of games. It's a nice concept that deserves to be expanded upon. For example, updates should appear on the PS Blog and the emails that get sent around every week. It's interesting that Playstation now has three female hosts.
I was just going to stay that. It seems to have everything besides Bluetooth, Wifi, and the Blu Ray drive.
Yeah, his talents are being wasted at Atari.
I think its just a good way to help let Sony know that it wouldn't be unethical or anything to take away some of the XBLA exclusives. While our talks on forums might be missed by Sony PR/Marketing/Execs, this won't be.
I hope not, but this is that terrible Unreal Engine we are talking about. This really shows we cannot have monopolies for anything, Sony or someone else should become the Apple of the OS market by introducing an alternative solution.
Yeah I'm with you on these so called editorials. I've seen better forum posts than this. I expect an editorial (even on such an rhetorical subject) to be consisted of some notion or topic, an analysis of solid data, and finally some conclusion/suggestion/opinion based on that analysis.
@kevoncox - The PS2 was hardly obsolete after 5 years. We are currently at year 8, so you are basically discounting all the titles that were released after 2005. The list includes Kingdom Hearts II...
I really don't know when to take them seriously.
I would personally have chosen GTA4, MGS4, LBP, GoW2, and Fallout 3 as the top 5.
Exactly, if people knew there will be a PSP2, they will wait for that to come out instead. I'm sure it won't come out for awhile, and I'm guessing PSP games can be played on it, but it will probably be a lot more like an iPhone with integrated flash memory.
