Having to search around for the best place for game patches is old now. Either buy the game through Steam and never worry about updating it or most games have an auto update built it.
Well its port of an 8yr old game so its going to look a bit dated and its a console port as well. The graphics are suppose to be touched up but it hardly looks any better.
The PC version has some nice high res texture packs and other graphics mods that look so much better then what id software is doing with this BFG edition.
I run single sapphire 7970 card and never have any issues with ATI drivers. I just put together a new system back in the spring (its been a few years since I built a new system) so maybe in the past their drivers have been bad but everything runs stable for me.
I read more problems with people running Eyefinity (which I don't use) for certain games then anything else.
Nexuiz is actually based off a Quake mode but it is a lot of fun. You can still play the original version for free but the new version has updated graphics.
There still plenty of fun twitch shooters on the PC like the new Tribes Ascend which is a f2p game. Most just never get released on the consoles and are usually only released as a digital download.
If you read the article they are up because of Diablo 3, has nothing to do with current consoles coming to an end. Lots of good digital deals for the PC too. Steam summer sale is about ready to happen that always does well.
Yeah Gamestop isn't the only place that does trade-ins. If you compare Amazon, Best Buy and other places they aren't any better. Same with Gamefly but they have better pricing for used games.
The only way your actually going make money back is craiglists or ebay.
Exactly. The gaming market in China and even in Korea are huge into fp2 micro-transition games. They lots of f2p games that never get released outside of those countries, Korea has their own version of Counter-Strike. They have internet cafes on just about every street corner. Its a whole different scenes over their.
A free mmo like WoW? You need to jump on Guild Wars 2 or play the first game until the second comes out later this summer. A good enough PC to run Minecraft? lol really? It takes nothing to run the PC version. I agree with a Bully sequel but the rest of the list is weak.
They did still support the first game after L4D2 came out. The Sacrifice was added and was supported for both games and The Last Stand was a free dlc horde map.
There is also plenty of good user created maps for both games on the PC. Really its the console version that gets no support since Valve has to charge for it so they wait to release a big dlc pack.
Just like the blog said all the maps from the first game that are already released on the PC are coming to the 3...
I found it to be better then the first game as well. More overall polish to the graphics and the city design. I wasn't expecting some completely new game but everything about it felt better over the original.
I have no problem running Crysis at ultra settings running at 1080 res with a single 7970. I can run Max Payne 3 with 8xMSAA as well but some areas do take a big hit in the framerate so I turn it off.
Quality wise I couldn't even tell a difference with it off and with MSAA on in Max Payne 3 always seemed buggy for me. They did release a patch that improved the MSAA but I haven't played it since.
And no I'm not hitting a constant 60fps with any of these g...
Its not the best port job (framerate could be better) but I had no problem getting it run. They ran the same deal on Steam where you got LA Noire for free when preordered Max Payne 3.
I pulled it from vgchartz but that 600k was from 360 sales, didn't notice the total from all versions. Still it only shows its sold over 1.19 mill
It is a lot of cash but Kingdoms of Amalur didn't sell well at all. Worldwide its sold around 600k copies so it didn't make anything back from it which sucks because I really liked it. They also picked up Big Huge Games from THQ (THQ shut the studio down and sold it off) and kept all the staff, that cost money too. I doubt its dlc sold that well either.
If your casual D3 player your not going to be playing it on Inferno or Hardcore where your going to be dieing the most. Playing it on normal you should never be dieing, Nightmare isn't any harder if you have a decent build going. If dieing a lot in Nightmare you need to rethink your build and farm for some better items. You also always have coop for help.
@Godmars290
Also start over? So you haven't played D3. Its easy to farm and you can jump around t...
I agree its missing the "noir" style storyline but the gameplay is top notch. Smooth controls and some of the best shooting mechanics on the market. This actually gives me hope that GTAV shooting mechanics will be much improved.
Well this isn't anything new for Apple. Airplay with the Apple TV box has been around for awhile now. Airplay works with Window based PC's too so this isn't something only Apple can do. Works with Boxee Box as well, another media TV box similar to the Apple TV box.
The coop isn't forced and can still be played as a sp game. When playing in coop it shows different cutscenes and convos between the partners. When you play in sp you don't get any of that and the cutscenes are altered.
You now fight against Unitologists who have guns (this is why the cover is added) and necromorphs just don't attack you but will also attack Unitologists.
Really people need to read up on the previews before judging it by the E3 trailer....
Even though its coming to current gen console Far Cry 3 was another game running on the PC and it looked great. The engine that Far Cry 3 runs on is a modified version of the CryEngine 3. Most of Ubisoft's stage demos were being played off of a PC.
They are using a controller for the demos because they aren't going to bust out a keyboard and mouse.
For me it was because of Steam. It would crash for me sometimes when starting it up but that's only when I'd launch it through Steam. I ended up using the its exe to launch the game and I never had anymore crashes.
