The guys issues is with the controller not having enough buttons? It has any many buttons as any current controller and its design so that you that you need to move your thumbs around to those different buttons.
That image above shows exactly how its meant to work. Counting the track pads and touch screen it has a total of 16 buttons. That's more then what a 360 and PS3...

Dedicated severs won't fix anything if they don't improve the netcode. Black Ops 2 on the PC has dedicated servers and it honestly isn't any better. You still get lag and bs killcams just like the console version.
It can be even worse on the PC because it uses lag comp. It tries to even everyone out based on their speeds but doesn't exactly work that well.

They just started supporting Linux on Steam less then a year ago. Of course there will be a lot of older games that probably ever won't get the support. Most of games in the Steam Linux store are newer games.

They did a great job with the PC version of Max Payne 3 and that wasn't some simple port job either. I'm thinking they are putting the same effort into the PC version like they did with Max Payne 3 but its going to take longer with how big the game is.

You need to shop at other places. Getting digital versions of games you find then for near half off from a few different sites and that's getting them day one. I hardly ever pay full price for PC games anymore.

There is all type of different sales going on too like Steam daily, weekly and yearly annual sales. There is also Humble Bundle which currently has a big EA bundle sale going on now. Dead Sapce 3, BF3 and several other games you can get as little as $5.

Compared to current console the gap is pretty big and it has been for the past few years. Next gen consoles are lot closer but it still wide compared to the type of setups you can do with a gaming PC.

Its only for the PC.

Only Killzone multiplayer is running at 60fps, campaign is 30fps. BF4 is whole other beast of game compared to Killzone and pretty every other shooter out there. You got all the different vehicles and destruction going on with be able to take down full size skyscrapers, your not doing any of that in Killzone.

DICE could step the graphics down a notch if they wanted to pull in a better framerate but they aren't trying holding anything back for its multiplayer.

I actually found FEAR 3 to pretty fun, it had fun coop mode but it was to short. Not as good as previous games but it also came from a different dev team.

I really enjoyed the first half, that's where I found the better moments to take place. Once you get to the frozen planet they start to drag the game to far out. It starts out cool when you crash land on it but the game just keeps going and going.

The article questions what first person does close up combat well, they need to play Dark Messiah on the PC. Even for how long its been out its still some the best first person combat.

It has to do with the games netcode and not running on p2p. All the Halo games have always used p2p and those run pretty solid online because it has a good netcode. The PC version of Black Ops2 runs dedicated severs and it isn't any better compared to the console version. You still get lag and bs killcams, they need to improve the games netcode.

They are talking about hardware sales and not game sales, read the article.

It really doesn't matter that Rare isn't the main dev on this since they don't even have any of the original team. Just about everyone who worked with Rare back in the day aren't even with them anymore.
From what they have said they had a few different devs submit their own versions of Killer Instinct and Double Helix is who they went with.

There actually hasn't been any indie bundle deals like the past sales have had. Indie games like Thomas Was Alone are going for upwards of 75% off so they are pretty cheap. Some of them have trading cards too which some people will buy just for the cards and badges you can earn from them.

You can already get Borderlands 2 for $15 from Amazon digital summer sale they got going on now. They also have good deal on a bundle pack that comes with both games and the Borderlands 2 season pass for $22. Steam will probably run he same deal during its sale.

While you will pay more for a good PC build ($600 is very midrange), you end saving so much more in cost of games in the long if you go digital. You can get new released games for just about half the price and the price of them come down even faster compared console versions.
You don't have to worry about backwards compatible issues either no matter what hardware changes you do to your system.

@Army_of_Darkness

You can backup any game in your Steam library onto a disc or to another drive.

About Retro losing some talent, yes they have lost some key members over the last few years. Pretty much after they got done with the Metroid Prime trilogy some of their main devs went on to start Armature Studio. They are working on Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate.

Never even heard about this game before but it does look nice. Still through the console version will be running low res textures and a lower end resolution, that's most likely the PC version be shown. Next-gen consoles won't have to dumb down the resolution and textures.
