Most games that you can preorder on Steam they usually get a discount of at least 10% off unless its something like Call of Duty because Activision is greedy.
There is still plenty of better digital sites like Greenmangaming where you can get new games for near half off using their voucher codes. Those type of sites are ran by small groups of people so they can afford to lower prices on games and aren't being controlled or restricted. Steam is really only good during thei...
@SilentNegotiator
Its not a closed off system. Its comes with SteamOS which is being offered for free for anyone to use but you can always install Windows on it as well.
You could easily put together a system that will last you 5+ years. You will end spending more but if your looking for something that you don't want upgrade every couple years then your going to dump more money into it, there's no getting around that.
I put about $2,000 into the PC I use now and that was almost 2yrs ago and I haven't upgraded anything in it. Still maxes out every game fine and I see myself using it for another 2-3 before moving on to a new build.

ibypower has been around for years and they aren't the only ways that will build these. Pretty much every site similar to ibypower (which there is a lot of) will be putting these out and coming up with their own designed cases or using pre-existing ones.
You could always build up your own Steam box and that would be a bit cheaper. I'd never buy one just because I always like putting together my own system. This is more for people who don't build PC's and want to get into PC gaming.
Prices are going be all over the place with different companies building up their own models, its not just Valve putting these out. Yeah your probably going spend more compared to buying a console but you save so much money when it com...
There is already a bunch of exclusive games on the PC to begin with but Valve has never said they have devs working on exclusive games for it. They even said they would never release one of their own games as an exclusive for SteamOS.
Its probably still going to be the same engine Skyrim used which was a new engine. I'm sure they will update it but the engine was held back a lot on current consoles compared to all texture, lighting, and other graphic mods you can do with the PC version of Skyrim.
I also got the email for free Killer Instinct but no free Xbone. Been a gold member since the 360 launched with a 120k gamescore.
Its got a better framerate but the fps is also capped at 90fps so anyone that games on a 120hz/144hz monitor won't get that refresh rate. Its having the same stuttering framerate issues that people have reported about the Xbone and PS4 versions as well.
Your only going to notice the better textures if your playing it at 4k. All the PC features are for Nvidia cards only. Phsyx is the only feature that can work with AMD cards but it offloads all of it to your cpu which kil...
A lot of games when using a 360 controller on the PC will have 360 key commands popup instead of the keyboard commands.
The PC version is a port of the next-gen versions so it should probably look pretty much the same. The main thing it is over the console version is that it can support up for 4K resolution.
My 7970 works perfectly fine with latest beta drivers. Over the past year an half I've been using a 7970 with no major issues and there hasn't been a single game where I couldn't play because of a drive issue. AMD drivers have improved a lot over the past year.
The bigger issue with their drivers has always been running crossfire setups and that's what the newer drivers improve on with its frame pacing.
Who going to adopt Mantle? Honestly whoe...
I can easily tell the difference but I also play mostly on the PC. Most current consoles games don't go anything past 30fps but its still easy to see the difference when playing any of the CoD's that run at 60fps and then switching over to just about any other fps on the consoles.
Some newer monitors already support it that you can mod yourself but yeah you still need to buy the chip for it.
Mantle and G-Sync are two completely different things.
I never said it wasn't. I'm talking marketing hype with ad's and commercials which you see lot with AC4. You weren't seeing much with Watch Dogs and now we know why.

That's the PS3 version. They have said countless times this is coming out for current gen systems but it will be downgraded compared to next-gen/PC versions.
I'm not surprised at all with the delay with the lack of new footage and all the hype they have been putting behind AC4 and none of it for Watch Dogs.
@TIER1xWOLFPACKx
That's not going cause any problems. That enough wattage for not overclocking and they probably aren't some cheap low brand psu. These will be packed in small cases too so your not going to have much in them besides the main components and a couple fans.
People need to stop the blame game of one console hurting the other. X1 and PS4 are both x86 architecture now just like PC and this will make it far easier especially for the PS4 compared to the PS3 when it comes to porting games over to consoles.
Sure BF4 is capable of running at 1080p on the PS4 but not at 60fps. They are shooting for 60fps and I honestly don't think you will ever see a game like BF4 trying run at 1080p with 60fps on either next-gen console.
This is the old bundle deal that's over now. They just started a new bundle about 20mins ago.
