Oh wow!, that's a big purchase!!, congrats to Microsoft, hopefully this will make Bethesda finally change their dated engine for Fallout and Elders Scrolls, lol.

P.s: Just thought about MS having Avowed AND Elders Scrolls, they sure are hitting hard on that genre market.

P.s.2: how much did they cost? And will they keep those games exclusive, all of them? Some of them? Will they do exclusives on a franchise by franchise basis? SO MANY questions!

The Ps5 it's completely sold out and will sell every unit that Sony will be able to produce, are some people frustrated, yes, but people will not miss the forest for the trees.

@amazinglover

So let me get this straight, having better CPU will put the Series S on the same tier as having a much, much, much better GPU?

Apples to oranges much?

Lol, who wrote this stupid article? It's 2020, this generation started in 2013, we DEFINITELY need a next generation NOW, This generation already ran it's course

If this individual doesn't want to upgrade that's on him, me and million others are excited to jump into something better.

Because it's a full blown next-gen from the ground up remake of one of the best games ever made, what more could anybody want?

They mock MM and HFW but then praise Halo Infinite and all their own cross gen games, which are ALL of them, what a joke.

I think it's a much better value an actual next-gen Ps5 for $400 (the digital edition which is in every way a Ps5 only without Disc Drive), than a half step Series S (which is nowhere close a Series X) for $300, at least that's my opinion.

P.s: having the Plus Collection at launch which gives you basically most of the best games in the generation it's a huge plus (pun intended).

Whoever has more inventory to sell, in the long run PlayStation of course, but this holiday season is going to depend on inventory.

That makes sense for Demon's Souls, it's not a long game, you just spend a lot of time in it because of the hundreds of times you die, lol

@-T9X-69-

While I do agree with you up until a certain extent, it's not as clear cut when the retailers you are taking about are not mom and pop shops, we are talking about Walmart, Best Buy, Target, GameStop, how is Sony supposed to deny inventory to them, might as well just close shop if that's the case, you cannot start assigning penalties to these retailers without serious consequences to your own business.

What I mean to say it's that the...

While I do agree that they should've said that pre-orders were going to open the next day ON the event, I found out through their blog right after, and I mean Immediately after, when I read next day I knew to be ready for it by 12 midnight because they were going to sell in an instant.

Then sites like Best Buy, Gamestop, Target and Walmart broke the street date, Walmart even posted on their official twitter account:

"Make you wait to get the new ...

Lol, that's to what they are reduced right now, to "what if?" Scenarios.

We get in the first year of the Ps5, Demon's Souls, R&C, Destruction All Stars, Sackboy A Big Adventure , Spiderman MM, Gran Turismo 7, Returnal, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War and FFXVI, that's a better lineup for the first year of the PS5 than the entire Xbox One generation.

There's no what if there

The Ps5 digital edition it's a much better value than the Series S, the Series S it's a half-step for $300, the Series S it's not anywhere close to the Series X, the Ps5 digital IT'S a Ps5, just without a Disc Drive, nothing else changes, it's the full next-gen experience for Only $100 more.

@GamerRN

Same thing, got mine at 3am EST here, tried at midnight first and because it just wasn't going through the checkout screen I thought to try again at 12am PST, which for Best Buy worked, I was lucky enough to pre-order the disc version + remote + 3D pulse headset with 18 months financing, lol

@Profchaos

Yeah, the following day starts at 12 midnight, that's when all these online stores (Best Buy, Gamestop, Walmart, Amazon, Target) updated their sites and opened pre-orders.

There was just too much demand for anyone to wait a good 8 hours until you woke up the next morning.

"These games cost many millions of dollars, well over $100 million, to develop. We just don’t see that as sustainable."

Yep, if we want to keep getting this high budget experiences, they cannot do it through that model

Horizon looks like what they did with Titanfall at the begining of this generation, the Xbox 360 version and the Xbox One were very differente from each other, hopefully that's the case with Horizon, I know I'll be playing Demon's Souls and then GoW in 2021!!!
