I certainly hope not.
I think the Wii has enough FPS in the mix as it is, and I would prefer not to have a flood of them to the point that seems like what most of the games are.
Actually, my list of good games comming next year are: Brawl, Endless Ocean, No More Heroes, Mario Kart, Mushroom Men, Okami, Monster Lab, Animal Crossing, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Dragon Quest Swords, and FF: CC.
Only a few of these are actually 1st party games. Support for the Wii has really started picking up, but, unfortuantely, it still takes a year or so to develop a game, and sometimes much longer, and because developers started out ignoring the console, it'll still be ...
Bubbles for you!
Though, also, it is worth mentioning that this deal isn't bad. They aren't charging more, but they're just adding a lot of extra stuff onto it. A $250 console sold for $500 is a terrible deal to the comsumer.
A $650-$700 bundle (with choice of games, msotly, not like the people who buy bad games and put it on ebay for $70 more per game) for $677 is more than one probably wants to pay, but its not a rip off by simply charging twice as much. It'...
Maybe that's why the Wii is in such high demand that supplies can't keep up, even a year later.
Edit: Someone care to explain the disagrees? All I hear about the PS3 is how it has bad games from the 360 fans, and all I hear about the 360 is it melts from the PS3 fans. Though people say bad things about the Wii, people will say good things, as well.
Heck, even this one that I replied to, it wasn't why to get a PS3, it was why not to get a 360. If someone tell...
Not that I believe you're wrong about what Sony believes, but if you are right, they do not know their history very well. There was once a company that thought it could go on its own time, not worry about compition, and dominate because they had done it two generations in a row.
Now, the N64 had some of the greatest games to ever be made, but it was hardly a sales success. Nintendo's arrogance nearly buried them...why is Sony so different?
If the Wii was HD...imagine!
"Agreed. I don't understand where the systems came from though if Nintendo is only able to produce 1.8 million per Wiis per month. Where retialers holding systems for black friday?"
The stores and nintendo. It was obvious Nintendo has been holding back some supplies for this holiday all year...no one thought the drops in sales were from lack of demand, did they?
Yes, we see 7 as average, a game you might want to rent, but that isn't a buy.
5 is average.
5 is the middle of the road.
Oh, don't make me imagine how sad I would be!
You seem to have Mario Kart confused with an inferior product.
"(and it's already sold out at the time of this reporting.)"
Oops, looks like people will STILL buy it.
Not that the bundle is so bad, anyway, but a lot of stuff is in it to buy at once.
Just think, PS2 was the weakest console last gen, and it can look like that?
The Wii is MUCH stronger than the PS2, and the 360 and PS3 are MUCH stronger than the Wii, so why do most games not look that good, still?
Very well said.
I do think 10's are too common (when we think of 7.5 as average, and 5 is right in the middle, there are problems), but a 10 does not, in any way, mean a perfect game, only a great game in an elite group.
47, now.
"Gosh Sidar why do I always choose the wrong Wii post"
Is there a right post for a troll like you?
I'll give you $60k if you can show me a gamecube that can handle Mario Galaxy.
It's bad, but its not that bad. Mario Part 8 is a pretty good game. It's just a party game, but its decent.
If you include it in the price of the other games, and ignore the extra controler and the like, its $60 per game.
You pay that for PS3 and 360 games! How is that such a terrible deal, to those who own another console!?
Of course, you probably want an extra controller, too, which is decently expensive in itself.
Anything, have some bubbles.
How you only have three, I don't know (ok, I probably do, I quoted an artcle that said something about the PS3 being obsolete, and got 100+ disagrees...for quoting an article and asking for an explination.)
Unfortuantely, when you say something painfully obvious, it causes pain in the hearts of fanboys.
I can only hope Nintendo keeps the spirit of gaming in their consoles...I really don't want a $400 media center.
It wasn't too long ago that the talk was global cooling due to pollution, not warming!
Humans haven't managed to pollute the Earth as much in my 21 years as the volcanoes of the world have in a single year (we couldn't produce as much carbon dioxide as volcanoes if we tried).
Things like this are terribly overexagersated so people think the problem is worse than it really is. That's not to say there's not a problem, but its a fairly small one. Certain groups wh...
Is it just me, or is Mass Effect not #1, but 1 of 5?
They didn't rank anything, so why is the title so misleading? Oh, right, to start a flame war.
