@mounce
Read the article. This is about stopping people from making false statements with the intent to make something look bad, not to stop people from posting honest opinions.
This is something Nintendo has always had to deal with(Dragon Quest 9 and MH3G where 2 games to be blasted by fanboys because of their appearance on Nintendo hardware), and Sony nearly never does. So it makes sense that Sony wouldn't worry about it.
Still wish it was coming out this year...^_^;
...of course it is. How is this news?
The article should read "Iwata Talks 3ds models" or something like that. The focus on the headline is not the focus of the article it is supposed to be representing.
I agree with your thought Skateboard that both will be fine in the long road, even if I feel more pessimistic about the Vita's future here lately(by just a tad.^_^;)
Also, I personally don't see how, in this specific case the writer is focusing on, the Vita is being put in a tight spot. I don't think this situation will make people buy a 3DS instead of a Vita, and otherwise it won't have any other direct effect.
@ceballos
Target is, not Sony. Meaning they can do the same for the 3dsxl
But devs have that option with the CPP. Making it integral is NOT necessary to make it an option, as the accessory has already done this.
The argument is that the XL *should* have had a second stick. But at this point, it would be a costly and wasteful add on.
Perhaps the 3ds should have always had 2 pads (I don't really care either way at this point), but that is to far in the past to be an issue anymore. The necessity NOW is non existent, and if it ever does bec...
The "lack of a second pad" issue is just an excuse for otherwise unfounded slamming and bias (seeing as how there appear to be so many games people want, yet they always say "to bad it's on 3ds" as if there aren't several other games they would buy and play).
The only people who care so so SO much about it are those *looking* for an excuse to rail on the 3ds. Everyone else either didn't care or has moved on.
It certainly not as big a de...
The Vita should have 2 screens in its next revision. Even though no current games would be able to utilize it and most developers wouldn't bother making software to use it in order to keep software sales on the original vita (even though there would be a 2 screen attachment for the original)
...My point is why add a costly feature that has no value and would not add anything to the core unit? The few games that use a second pad don't need it, and if you have to use 2 ...
I like it better on 3ds myself...
Hand held gaming FTW... ^.^;
I just played the bravely default demo, and the 3d was amazing.
Why? It was used as a graphical asset and style delivery instead of depth gauging or for purely fancy pop out affects.(I know that sounds the same, but if you play it I think you will understand.)
The 3d offers a lot, and is a great feature. I couldn't image the machine without it. I can see folks not liking it, but lets not write it off and kill something so unique before it is given a chanc...
@bad
That's a whole other argument, I think. Not a that your point isn't a good one, but the point here is that Nintendo does do new stuff and never really stopped as many people believe.
It is just a gaming fallacy, like how people think Japanese games are worse than Western games, or that handheld gaming is dying... it is not true.
@skateboard
Who are they? O.o;
@hissiru
They have, and they are.
And how have Sony learned from their past mistakes? They still demand you buy proprietary memory cards, have still disregarded backwards compatibility, and are still under performing in regards to original software on their handhelds.
The only mistake I've listed above that has seen slight improvement is the last one, and only just.(so far)
Or it could all be free...
Psp got a remake. The ds got 3 original games.
The market is there on the 3ds both in consoles sold and in fan precedence. It isn't on the vita.
I don't want to read the article, but from the headline and opening statement I feel I get the gist of what you are saying.
And I agree. With the header and this comment I'm replying to.
The ad is purposely vague, as no one can just come out and say "these guys suck", unless you are a politician...^__^
The thing is, if they didn't want people to make this connection, they would have made sure it wasn't possible to make. Marketing teams aren't so stupid they would miss something so obvious, not even Sony's...
So yeah, they are trying to take a jab at the 3ds, or rather pimp up the vita against it. But isn't that h...
You mean the fact that it actually has games?
^__^
I kind of think the Gaming applications of SG shown at e3 were thrown together after the wiiu was unveiled. Otherwise, one would think there would be a little more there
A lot of people read the header and not the story...
Which is hardly surprising. -_-;
The header is ABSOLUTELY incorrect, and does not represent the story at all... this is about keeping active and purposeful trolls comments from causing negative effects on ALL wiiu games, not just Nintendo's, and has nothing to do with actual honest critical comments.
If anyone here remembers the Japanese amazon attack against DQ9, then they now why Nintendo wou...
