@Green
sure. But a game consoles specs will and should always play second fiddle to what is actually available.
Buying something for its perceived potential only is, outside of brand faith stupid for most people. And for game consoles, specs are just that: *possible* value. It is not in the same league as a tv screen size or a computers memory, because its value is unconfirmed from the start and is only realized by future products and how they make the most of the spe...
How about you take the friggin *games* into consideration instead. Isn't that the whole point?
Specs are important... but only if the software makes good use of them. Like I said elsewhere: a diamond filled brick is no funner to play with than a regular one.
GAAHH RAGE!!°[]°//
...okay, I'm good...-.-;
I fail to see why anyone should make decisions based on specs(although I'm not saying you do), and that if a majority of people from any group did the Vita would be doing better.
As for Nintendo, power has nothing to do with this; they have never played the specs game as far as I know. People only really know after launch once they have gutted one and revealed what they have found.
You must not remember how the launch 360/ps3 games fared in these regards...
Lot's of cruddy looking ports and games set to be trumped graphically within 3 years.
Too many sku's can be problematic as they can cause consumer confusion... which is why Nintendo only ever does 1~2 at launch.
The black wiiu is heavily expected, so I'd say 2 skus: a White color variant and a Black one.
Nintendo doesn't do spec sheets. A spec of most Nintendo hardware would be pointless anyway, as Nintendo consoles are usually a jumble of parts that work better than what is put on paper... Like a Frankenstein monster...@.@;;;
The 3ds, for example is said to have dedicated shaders, allowing to have complex shadow effects with very little effort. While other consoles have to process these effects themselves and use up lots of power, the 3ds can use its resources elsewhere...
Well, does that mean Sony fanboys, who would not disagree with you are not fanboys?
Regardless, that's a lot of disagrees... are you guys disagreeing with his theory or his Sony fanism?
The agree/disagree system is to vague...>.<;;;
Also, I'm a Nintendo fanboy.
Yeah, blunder of the century making their online slightly inconvenient. I suppose having to input a few numbers instead of letters is far worse than having to pay for proprietary memory cards in order to play the few games the vita has, or the few games the psp already can that the vita has taken months to start getting. Not to mention the lack of true bc...
I was saying it half assed THIS. They have half assed a lot of things, but not everything of course. And when people co...
... I don't want to read this.
What is it? An android device?
This is indeed possible, and is by no means limited to Sony. All platform holders are no doubt subject to such things.
Of course, we will never know for sure and can only speculate...-_-;;
I don't remember NES and GBC games being on the DSiware shop. I also don't remember people praising Nintendo's online ventures at every turn as people have done with Sony.
The thing is, the PSP is a technically "inferior" console from Sony and CAN play all of these games. Why can't it's successor? The DSi never had any of these features, so nothing is lost.
And then there is the fact that Sony is a multimedia company renowned for...
Sony half asses what it does and people get angry.
That's the thing.
Personally I think I'd say mkds.
Mario kart 7 is pretty good, but comparatively lacking in content.
However, 7 has better single card multiplayer... hmmmm.....
The west just needs to lighten up, and except that there are many different people in the world.
The alternative is one group asking another culture and country to change for their own agenda... you know, like the Nazi's liked to do.
either your wording is bad, or you are judging an entire different culture as if all cultures should conform to the one standard you believe in...
Value is not determined by production costs but by consumers. Obviously few think the vita is at the "correct" value point. Of course, this fact doesn't change the cost to Sony, so a price drop is unrealistic for them.
And how exactly can you call something "future proof" when it is barely PRESENT proof? ^_^;
It was also praised based of comparisons to its competitor, when the hidden costs were unknown and before the lack in overall software was apparent.
I don't think the hardware needs a price cut, but I also don't believe this horsepower justifies the price crap.
A brick filled with diamonds isn't any funner to play with than an ordinary brick...
The vite needs a solid lineup and the loose ends nipped(mem. Price and other facepalm worthy screwups...)
You mean Like Soul Calibur 2 to 3?
A multiplatform game's sequel becoming single platform(ps2)
"I have to wonder how on earth such an incompetent team got to be so big within this industry."
I've been wondering this about Bethesda, Bioware and Blizzard for YEARS now.(for various often differing reasons.)
Seems people are only just now starting to agree with me...
