Regional currency differences will only make the situation worse. Regional profits are important to the companies who region lock and with the weak dollar and strong yen it is even more so.

Except the game Isn't broken, you just don't like it. Which is fine. There are many Monster Hunter like games that fit your descriptions coming out soon for Vita ^_^
The strategy is in the timing and targeting. If you draw your weapon at all times while fighting a monster without waiting for an opening first you'll get smashed, for instance. If you have a bow you may want to "Break" the monsters head, or if you have a long sword cut off its tail.

All I see is that the value of Nintendo consoles is readily apparent to consumers, and Sony systems are slow to build steam.
Remember: the 3ds plays all your old ds games, and the wiiu plays all your wii games. Unlike a new Sony machine, their is an incentive to buy a new gen Nintendo when it launches over its predecessor.
It does, but the improvements are barely noticeable. The textures are improved and the shadows are... well, actual shadows(along with actual lighting, if 3g on 3ds is any indication)
The Hud Icons are also smoother on 3U.
The shadows in 3g were dynamic, but only represented the characters frame and not their armor. The WiiU one seems to show the armor in shadow as well...but it's hard to tell from these screens.
Hope it runs at an even higher framerate than 3g on 3ds(which was quite good on its own).
The wii original had a charm and magic about it that appears to have been gutted for the vita version. To me, that really hurts this one...
I won't read the review(spoilers. Still haven't gotten past the wii Little Kings story.) so I can't speak for the writer. Could the touch screen controls have hampered it?
I wonder if the whimsical suggestive humor was left in tact...
And to clarify: Little Kings story received its fare share of less than stel...
