SH3's ending, with all the vomiting, near-stepping, and subsequent eating of...something (don't wanna spoil it), still remains one of the grossest endings to a videogame I can remember.

You should check out all his older reviews, too. Most of them are pretty hilarious.

Yahtzee has always talked about what high regard in which he holds this game. It's nice to see him actually review it and (surprisingly) bash it quite a bit. While I do agree that the combat isn't that great, Silent Hill 2 still remains one of my top 10 favourite games of all time.

Best two DLC expansions for Fallout 3, in my honest opinion.

Prey is also available for $40, and wasn't it one of the launch titles? Either way, it's OLD.

Chris, I'm Canadian too, so I can't help ya on US prices. But I'm with you, I really dig the idea, but the execution just ain't for me.

"You have to think about it this way, everyone already has the 360, even loyal Sony fans jumped ship early to get into the next gen with the 360. With the new low price you will see many of the brand faithful return and we're talking about millions of fans"

That's exactly what I did and exactly what I will do.

If a company is PLANNING a price cut, you don't announce it. You might as well say "don't bother buying this console right now, coz we're going to slash the price in two months." A company should only announce a price cut when it's actually happening, like what Sony did.

Man, I hope not.

A more obvious question: SHOULD it be made?

Bubbles for your Cain avatar. Henry Cain is creep-tastic.

Honestly, I'm just waiting for the PS3 to really start humping my face over the stuff that interests me. And this price drop is definately a step in the right direction. It's not a question of if I'll buy one, but when.

My PS2 crapped out on me a couple years ago and I haven't bothered to get a new one coz I figured I would eventually get a PS3 when the time was right. There's no way I'm ever selling my old Silent Hill, Resident Evil, or Fatal Frame games.

BC is a preferred feature for me simply because I'd like playing older games without having to dig out an old console from the basement in order to play them.

As for not being ready for "next gen", you may be right. ...

Damn, now I really want to play Indigo Prophecy again...

What's the difference between the PS3 Slim and the Fatty? Besides size, obviously...

I wonder how soon it will be before we see that douchebag Bobby Kotick say "I told you so!!"

Then Sony'd better start marketing the hell outta this thing if they want to move units.

This is awesome. I love how this price drop levels the playing field a bit and now both the PS3 and 360 are going to be working their collective asses off trying to please us gamers.

All I know is that I'm a 360 owner, and with Sony's price drop, they've given me one more reason to buy a PS3. Give me a couple more exclusive games and some backwards compatibility and I'm there.

Yes, but Sony should give users the option. I'd be far more willing to buy a PS3 if I knew I could play my older Sony games on it. I still played a bunch of PS1 games on my PS2, after all.

I own a 360 and have been waiting for some really good reasons for me to buy a PS3. The big 3 on my list are: Price drop, more exclusive games I'm interested in (like Heavy Rain), and backwards-compatibility. I still have a bunch of PS2 and PS1 games sitting around my house and to not be able to play them on a brand-new console is a major drag.

I'll have to wait until Heavy Rain comes out and flattens us all with its awesomeness.

Wow, I used to LOVE this game as a kid. Lots of mindless fun, but I'm picking this up as soon as it is released.
