Doom took me by surprise. After the mediocre multiplayer beta I wasn't expecting anything great, but the single player and meat of the game is phenomal. Hands down the best fps experience of 2016.
"How does that make it any better? people like you are the reason why companies will happily butcher games to sell for extra later on"
Companies have been butchering games well before consumers started giving a damn. Publishers don't care even if there is a backlash.
Joe even ranted about it and asked fans to push Sega who publishes TotalWar not make to lock the faction as DLC. Maybe he still enjoyed the game regardless.
He gave Uncharted 4 praise for the single player, if the single player had microtransactions then it would of been an issue. EA shoves microtransactions into every mode they can. You don't buy Uncharted 4 for the multiplayer player. Uncharted's multiplayer has always been a tacked feature that isn't the focus. So yes, he was right to praise it.
Sometimes his scores are all over the place but the effort he puts into his reviews are alway entertaining.
Well no, because they aren't using a hedgehog that hasn't appeared in its own good game since the megadrive.
It's like saying why Capcom didn't sue Yatch Club Games.
Not even 2 days into 2017 and we have shite nonsense articles like this. More like worst year for attempted clickbait articles.
So there is so much shouting here about not wanting some old games from EA on a sub service but the same people are crying about not having backwards compatibility to play old games.
Just say you hate EA and be honest. I could careless about the service being on PS or not, I just find the multiple comments about hating EA and justifications for it amusing. Where was everyone with their pitchforks when Sony made it mandotory to have a psn+ sub if you want to game online? Oh...
Because no software publisher is stupid enough to pull that off to such a scale. They might be greedy but fragmenting the market with so many individual services will probably put their titles in decline. We have enough childish arguments about console wars, we don't need publisher wars next. The backlash would be massive and I think their shareholders wouldn't want to chance it. Sony and MS stupidly charge for online because it's their hardware also and know they can get away fro...
Replace Capcom and add platinum games. Capcom borked SFV and then tried entering e-sports with the woeful Umbrella Corps. Resident Evil 7 might put them back on track in 2017, but hardly spearheading.
Well thank god we all don't think like you or else opinions wouldn't be needed. The list is arbitrary and you should feel annoyed if other people don't enjoy games that you do. And yes it was disappointing, that doesn't mean it's a bad game or in the worst list.
Oh I don't know, adding 2 different season passes at $29.99 each and having premium currency to a AAA title treating it like some f2p BS title.
Oooh premium outfits and colours you say, well you should have said that from the start, that makes it all better.
A single game seller in the US isn't going to "kill gaming". There are other various sources to get games at better prices and service like Amazon. Although I don't know the US market all that well. I currently live in Japan and trade-in value for trending games are fair and the mark up on reselling games aren't too bad either. Critically acclaimed games that aren't often traded in hold higher value here too, titles like Doom and Reaper of Souls have maintained stead...
It will happen...eventually. I still remember walking into game shops and being able to buy physical PC games. Now I can't, and even if you can in some places, in the box is no disc just some code to download the game from steam or origins.
Once publishers decided not to put up stupid prices on psn and xbl then the shift will be easier and quicker. £64 for some new AAA titles, bloody hell!
Saying that I still prefer having physical copies of my g...
Saw this on the ps store earlier. It's a joke, there are 2 character season passes, 2016 and now 2017. $60 on launch for the base game then $30 for each character season pass, $120. Capcom can get stuffed, they haven't learnt nothing from the past and sales of SFV shows it.
Yes, I know new characters can be earned via in game currency, then again why the hell does a AAA game have premium f2p-like currency in the game in the first place. Did they even add the modes ...
If they could bring back SNES Metroid for the switch that would be great. Not that horrid Another M garbage.
Some people could care less about going through the fuss of emulating retro games on their PCs regardless of how easy it is. Some people just want a simple console to be plugged into the tv without fiddling with roms. And when it comes in a nostalgic form factor like the NES then it will be popular.
Nobody is praising Sony. This article is about Nintendo, who vastly never meets demands for their in demand products. Just like the Amiibo debacle, they know which ones are popular yet never meet the demand for them outside of Japan. Scalpers are happy though.
You seem to have a chip on your shoulder about the ps4 exclusives. Where were you when Gears was an exclusive, oh wait it is on the PC too. I guess you never heard about console exclusivity that Sony and MS uses to boost sales of their hardware.
Yes PC players will get a chance to play it at some point too, great more gamers can play a platinum game, fantastic. But that doesn't negate the fact that you're a bit of a twat.
Yes microtransactions suck. But before all the hate, actually read the article. He talks about cosmetic changes to a game where you purely buy what you want. But now everything is like a loot box where you have a minimal chance of getting what you want like gambling.
Stop crying. He enjoyed the game. Even his friend Jessie Cox said Joe was an idiot for not enjoying the music. Joe is a hardcore metal fan and has never been a diehard FF fan. It making his list should be taken as a positive. FF diehard fans are almost as bad as Kingdom Heart fans.
