I think I'll hold out for Tekken 7 or any other fighting game. SFV barebones edition is a massive disappointment. Have they even bothered adding an arcade mode yet or still catering to the hardcore competitive tournament players?
You are a special one aren't you.
Where other developers would of let a game die, closed up shop or moved on to other projects. They are a least updating and adding content to those who actually bought the game. I didn't, because it was never my kind of game, but welcome when developers know their product isn't what was promised on release, but work to make it what is should be but updating and patching it.
With consoles connected online, gam...
Fickle gamers getting hyped and pre-ordering games before any reviews are out then get pissy when said game doesn't meet their expectations. Or for the sake of getting a skin they'll use once or plastic statue made in China that will gather dust.
Good on hello games for keeping their heads down and patching the game. I remember how Diablo 3 launched, it was a mess. Blizzard realized and with the 2.0 patch changed everything and still adding new content. It has become a better and different game from the vanilla version. Hello games can do the same and I hope they succeed in bringing new and interesting content to the game.
Nintendo failed to work with Sony before the PlayStation became its own product. Fat chance them joining MS. They are already testing the mobile market which is more likely suitable for them to promote their IPs to newer gamers on the platform without aligning themselves with their consoles competitors.
What happened to some of the giant Japanese developers in the fighting gaming area that used to push out and create such original and exciting titles. It seems everyone is just playing it safe now and burnt all their cash reserves to attempt making something new and original. Even with loved IPs like Darkstalkers, Powerstone and Rival Schools, we haven't seen anything new for such a long time.
No, I doesn't need to be exclusive unless you are someone who hates gaming and doesn't want games to thrive outside a fanboy ecosystem. Shinox hit the nail on the head regards Monster Hunter, Bayonetta and Fatal Frame. Although Bayonetta 2 was never going to be made unless bankrolled, which Nintendo did. But Monster Hunter would massively benefit being on other systems as well as Fatal Frame.
Final Fantasy was Nintendo exclusive during the NES and SNES era until Son...
The same company who left out an arcade mode in one of the biggest fighting game franchises. Capcom needs to get this shite together. A new Powerstone would be great, as well as a new Marvel vs Capcom game, or even a new Capcom crossover game.
If it doesn't do well then Nintendo will still have the portable market which they have cornered even with smartphones they still make a bulk of their revenue through the portables. As well as releasing on iOS shortly, more money. They have the IPs to keep them in business for a long long time, Sega only had Sonic as a major IP.
Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Smash Bros, Animal Crossing, Monster Hunter, Fire Emblem are system sellers. Before you call me a fanboy, I haven't ...
EDMIX, comeback when you know the difference between IP and hardware.
That's why it is getting an iOS release instead. Unless Nintendo end up like sega, then Mario won't be appearing on any rival console.
Seeing as Nintendo is still making a shit ton of money on portable gaming, Mario is still safe.
Nothing new there if you've been gaming on consoles before the dreamcast.
What stopping them from saying the dlc was never part of the main game but actually is? Just saying, as major publishers know they can make lots of money from dlc these days.
If they actually do what they are saying then credit to them.
As should all games this generation. Credit to them for getting it. Even Tecmo Koei is going a step further providing high resolutions and fidelity at 30fps of lower fidelity at 60fps.
Even with the PS4 Pro, Sony is pushing their first party titles in 4k at 30fps because they probably want to sell 4k televisions, where they should encourage their developers to offer more options - either 30fps@higher resolutions or 60fps@lower resolutions. As good as Bloodborne is the load...
Haha passing Q&A The amount of buggy games released this generation day one is a joke. They shove games out the door based on hype to make as much money as possible then patch it later if they care enough.. I can believe any game release with terrible framerates.
This is Ubisoft, I can believe it. Remember the state of Assassins Creed Unity on release?
It is inexcusable when thick headed gamers fork out for season passes for minimal content. Publishers have seen how shallow many gamers are so they have no qualms about cutting game content and selling it off at later days included in season passes.
Sure spend your money how you want, doesn't mean the practice of season passes is a good one. $60 is now the base price of a title where spending $100 upwards gives you the full content because that is how they sell games no...
Yes, but in the last 2 weeks it had 1.6 million players alone. Still a massive active play-base. No game retains the same concurrent players as accounts. The hero shooter is the in thing this year, so I am not surprised it is doing well.
Well if people can't be responsible enough to not use their phones whilst driving then what do you expect. Even if it is a minority. There was a tour bus driver in Japan that was caught playing driving a bus full of passengers.
Oh look some people still play a game I detest, let me make a snarky outdated comment on how they are wasting their time even though I am a gamer wasting time on another game.
Which media outlet should we take seriously then? All reviews are opinions. If a game people happen to like doesn't match a review's opinion then they are criticized for being biased or not a major media outlet. So now it matters for which outlet you work before being considered to be a credible gamer to make credible reviews. How sad!
And since when is 7/10 considered to be a bad score.
