It's better than mediocre. It's a solid 7-8/10.
Yep, Bloodborne is number 1. The order of the rest is debatable.
I would like them to release Lollipop Chainsaw, Shadows of the Damned, and Killer is Dead as a collection on PS5 too. Love Grasshopper/Suda 51 games.
Witcher 3 and Bloodborne = Essential DLCs.
Not surprising being a Polish company. Poland and Russia have a pretty complex history.
Hopefully it still turns out well, there is no rush, we have all played the game already.
@philm87 Yes but it was a negligible amount.
Expansions would be great but where is the free dlc that we were supposedly getting? They could release a lot more clothing and cosmetic items for example, the npc's are wearing them already.
I wonder what the actual sales of this game were on say PC vs Xbox vs PS? Would be interesting to see where the developers had more success/made more money.
I'd like to see a version where she has MORE daddy issues.
Maybe they could write a gentleman's club or two into the story and the plot could explore Lara's journey from exotic dancer to adventurous explorer. I mean right...right?! ;)
I agree all of Team Ico's (now genDESIGN) games are amazing. Fumito Ueda is a real auteur.
Just curious, what do you mean 'Even Last Guardian'? Do you feel it was lacking in some way?
While it may not have had the wow factor of Shadow of the Colossus, I think it was a brilliant and very unique game.
Yep. I've completed it twice (regular and ng+) and have been waiting on the PS5 version to do it all again.
No offence but no it is not interesting.
It wasn't added stealthily. It's just not worth mentioning because it is such a trivial feature.
How is this a trending article?! Please don't answer because I don't care. The question is rhetorical.
Yep, I've seen this issue before. That is definitely the problem ;)
Agree.
Lara Croft is also much better looking. I vote for her.
Hey don't get me wrong I really like the game I like all of From's games and have played them all since the original Demon's Souls back on PS3 (the PS5 remake is fantastic too). I am not saying the Elden ring is bad, it is just not that newcomer friendly. It is not a game for the casual gaming audience and it is clearly not accessible.
That said, for people who know what they are getting themselves into and are up for committing to the challenge of figuring thin...
I think it is less accessible. Bloodborne and souls games were at least partially linear particularly toward the start so you had some idea of what order to visit levels and bosses in. Elden ring being open world and very convoluted by design does not give a lot of guidance as to where you should go and when. Figuring that out is a big part of the challenge but I would not call it newcomer friendly.
Have you played the Demon's Souls remake (if not I highly recommend it)? The difference is night and day. I am enjoying Elden Ring just like the rest of the souls games but the graphics are a disappointment.
I'm playing Elden ring on PS5 (gameplay at 24hrs and lvl 38) and the graphics really are not good. Textures are generally terrible (trees are basically PS3 quality), frame-rate is inconsistent, pop in is rampant. Visually it is not even close to the Demon's Souls remake, it is hard to describe how big the difference is. In fact, I don't think it is even graphically as impressive as Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3.
Even the controls are not great. I have died a couple...
Yep, same thing happened with Dead Space. The original game was one of the best of that entire generation.
The order 1886 did a good job of graphics/art design, setting/lore, atmosphere/tone, characters, dialog/voice acting, controls, combat/weapons. The werewolves were suitably horrific particularly the first proper scene with one and the vampires are only really touched on but what is there is good. Not a perfect game (badly needs a sequel as the story ends abruptly) but one of the best in the genre. Personally, I love it.
