Have you played the Demon's Souls remake (if not I highly recommend it)? The difference is night and day. I am enjoying Elden Ring just like the rest of the souls games but the graphics are a disappointment.
I'm playing Elden ring on PS5 (gameplay at 24hrs and lvl 38) and the graphics really are not good. Textures are generally terrible (trees are basically PS3 quality), frame-rate is inconsistent, pop in is rampant. Visually it is not even close to the Demon's Souls remake, it is hard to describe how big the difference is. In fact, I don't think it is even graphically as impressive as Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3.
Even the controls are not great. I have died a couple...
Yep, same thing happened with Dead Space. The original game was one of the best of that entire generation.
Agree. I just picked up Horizon 2 physical for $79 in Australia(PS4 version and downloaded the free ps5 version). The digital edition is $110. Ridiculous! An all digital future will be pretty anti consumer I think.
Makes sense. Drake is a semi-automatic beast after all ;) Anyone?
It's not just a journalist mode. The game is really hard. It takes a lot of practice and patience and for many people it probably asks too much. That said, it is worth the effort. Great fun.
The game is great. Lots of style, great combat but very hard. Too hard for most people. Still, if you can handle the learning curve and difficulty then it is a must play.
SPOILER for Bloodborne but Gehrman is the best. The music, the parrying, and the setting with the moonlight and long grass. It's just great.
I think Quality mode has Ray-tracing and dynamic resolution, Resolution mode scraps the ray tracing for more stable high res. Not sure about the framerates though.
I would love a proper Dredd game. It could be amazing. So much great material to draw on.
Thanks for saving me a comment.
Yep i'm waiting for psvr 2 before I take the plunge.
I would like to see them do a Marvel Vs DC Injustice game.
I noticed this too. I feel like it gets worse after playing for extended periods. Maybe not though.
Yep. 1 is easily the best. Played it many times and excited to play the remake.
I'm all for protecting animals from cruelty but this just makes PETA look stupid. It's a game. They should focus on protecting animals in the real world. You know, the ones that are actually alive.
...and...final!
Not sure it's true but I hear you will also press buttons to attack and there will be the option to pause and save!
Have been looking forward to this since announcement but have skipped the pre-order due to lack of reviews. Weird way to handle the release. Looks great though.
I think it is less accessible. Bloodborne and souls games were at least partially linear particularly toward the start so you had some idea of what order to visit levels and bosses in. Elden ring being open world and very convoluted by design does not give a lot of guidance as to where you should go and when. Figuring that out is a big part of the challenge but I would not call it newcomer friendly.
