Dktxx2 was probably most accurate in saying the one stealing so far is Wii...from both sides. I agree with your reply on the idiotic Capt but giving X360 7 million is way too generous I think. I disagree on MS in your theory. First MS hasn't beat the Xbox sales yet so hold off on them taking chunks from Sony. I do think they will take some but the amount isn't going to be insane IMO. I agree with pretty much all your thoughts on this one. I don't think MS will have won that much marketshare in the end BUT any gain over the lifetime sales of Xbox is gained share I agree. Only time will tell on that part.
As to it being profitable that's a bit of a fib. Yes they put the $1 billion extended warranty out over a couple years to make it have less impact but technically its cost belongs to the systems currently sold, smart business/bookkeeping idea by MS though...

You are stupid if you think Sony can't match MS's cuts. Sony is breaking even currently and this summer the Cell will be cheaper due to being made smaller, also they have been working on other ways to cut costs this year. Sony can easily match any price cuts MS does in my opinion, so nothing is "done" as you pretend.

I know online gaming is huge to some people but not so big with me (and there are plenty of people out there like me). The main issue is where he says "industry reviewers and consumers agree". I can think of a lot of consumers who disagree so MS can stop speaking for me. As to reviewers there are just as many reviewers that side with PS3 as X360, so its another point of personal preference.

Sony will drop prices if MS does, or at least that's my opinion. Sony isn't losing money on the consoles so they have room to cut. Seeing as they have been gaining ground lately they won't want that to change, but who knows until it all happens.
