Not going to "disagree" with your post Knight but offering a few other thoughts. On the shortage topic you are right its US only that MS reported them but its worldwide for the 80Gb PS3, trust me I have tried and its not found since they are clearing channels for the new MGS4 bundle this summer. I am a Sony fan (watch the disagrees roll in just for admitting that lol) but I think halting supplies of 80Gb PS3 SKU for a couple of months was a dumb move on Sony's part.

I like this line "Are they OK with it taking 15 years to really become a profit center for them?" That's the key I think. From what I have seen of MS (its just my opinion) is they often like to come in and conquer markets fast, they don't like to stretch fights out. With that being said if they want to stick around for the fight they can and will.

The X360 is not easily on track to double the 25 million Xbox sales, at least not yet. I do agree they are on track to top that number and might hit upwards of 35-40 million which would be a success according to their stated plan of increasing market share. I agree with you Knight in that X360 has seen success so far (as has Wii and PS3). I am not sold on the whole "its making profits" line unless you mean software which I agree with you.

Technically they are only making a profit on their hardware because the $1 billion extended warranty was spread out of future quarters, otherwise it would be barely breaking even and about to hit profits.
Software is another story, nice profits there for MS.

As a PS3 fan I wouldn't have liked getting ME2 without ME1, wouldn't have worked for me. I would have liked the series being on PS3 too, even if time exclusives, but since it appears it won't happen I simply say good for the X360 fans and have fun with the game.
Your comments do make me chuckle but this time I have to say ME2 won't be coming to PS3. I think the ME series will stay X360/PC exclusive but many future new Bioware games will start being multi-plat as its the way EA works.

How does it not show decent graphics and great gameplay? Even the Xbot who posted the story said it had great gameplay. From everything I have read says it has great gameplay and great graphics. First off MS lost a billion also...its called the 3 year extended warranty. Just because they spread it out over several future quarters doesn't mean they didn't lose the money.

All systems prices will drop by the end of the year. I personally think if MS drops in the US then Sony will follow and we will be right where we are now a close fight. Sony needs to get the 80Gb back out there though, waiting until the summer to release it with a new bundle is not a smart move.

I think he/she was using Wii for the 22 million and the X360 at the 18 million mark. The sad part is Jiinn can't realize that 9 was passed by PS3 a while back but he/she stopped counting it appears. PS3 is close to 11 million now actually.
Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, DMC4, LBP (previews), Wipeout HD, Motorstorm, etc with a LONG LONG list, are you really desperate enough to make up some crap like limited colors?
The game was about the same on both systems graphics wise, the X360 was darker and the PS3 was more vibrant IMO. Either way though it should show Crapcom and their Lost Planet junk that its VERY possible to multiplat games with X360 and PS3.
