Funny people get up in arms about this, it will just make publishers' do the same thing, but have a large empty download - just so it appears you're getting something that's not already on the disk.
Valve games polished??? hahaha This guys living in a dream world. I bought left for dead the graphics are anything but detailed. Polish entails they put the extra effort/money into adding details to the game.
It's possible he saw there would be additional value of it being a PS3 exclusive, and also you know there's no way in hell Microsoft would let him charge only $5 for it.
I'm betting they'll have a ps3 version by holiday, and release the other versions early in the year.
Considering the guy knows Jade Raymond really well, It's obviously Assassin's Creed 2.
You'd think they'd show more if the game was going to outdo killzone 2 graphically. From what you can see from it, it only appears to be a slightly updated cod4.
more than skype I'd want shoutcast on PS3, with custom soundtrack compatibility.
The game had excellent production values, great music/visuals. I personally liked the battle system more than any other games in the series.
The story was lacking though, I mean how many characters do they need to add really? Why can't they just keep it to a few? I know it's beneficial from a gameplay perspective, but it just makes the story dull. And why do they all 'come along' for the whole story makes things confusing and too cliche.
Both games need a serious face lift in graphics...
This is the game that came to mind when i read the title, Folklore is a great game, outstanding soundtrack, great story - awesome boss fights. Sad most of the press gave this game lackluster scores; IGN got it right though. If you think the graphics are just average, wait till you get to the last level... And one more thing, the art direction is great, you don't see rpgs with such a unique setting very often.
cool stuff they mean:
which 3rd party game that we don't know about yet did Microsoft buy off the possibility of a PS3 version (at least at launch.)
Seeing something with Shadow of the Colossus in the title seems very plausible, considering the IP and name has grown to be very large lately. I would see Sony not wanting to abandon/delay this ip quickly.
Lost Odyssey had a very large marketing budget if i remember correctly, the adds were all over TV. That's the main reason it sold well to 360's wrpg/shooter fanbase.
Considering the way things look now this gen will last a long time, and stunting growth on their own core user base is a huge mistake, because they're going to be dependent on PS3 for a long time to come to make money.
Ever since they got under the MS 'arm' they've been rushing every game they make. Just like every other studio under Microsoft. 4 year production cycles like KillZone2 aren't going to happen with Microsoft. They have their priorities backward, focusing on making money first quality second.
One of the few reviewers that won't give a game a free pass because It has the word HALO plastered on the cover. I played the demo of this game, yes the cgi was outstanding, but it wasn't enough to save the game unless you're a Halo fan. The graphics after the cgi leave something to be desired.
I never played past level 2 because I ran into the exact problems he was talking about, the tutorial doesn't show you what you need to know. I felt like i need faster more precise control,...
Don't Use the Unreal Engine please.... The first game was really good; good music, a good story, just barren of a pretty color pallet - with frame rate hitches all over. Hopefully the sequel will get a better budget so they can do a better job on animations and graphics.
Why the hell do they need an 'instant streaming disk' on the PS3, everyone on PS3 has a hard drive, since the whole service is based online everyone already has the capability to download from the start. Seems like the only way they could get around the exclusive contract they have with M$. I thought the streaming disk was for the wii btw.
Why are movies marketed toward girls so lame?
It's OK to admit your game is very mediocre WoW fans. It's ok.
