Sony made a deal with NC soft, I know i wouldn't mind seeing a PS3 version but this one was made from the ground up for the PC. I don't think it's that easy to just 'put it on a console' with the control scheme and game design made for a PC. They'd want it to be compatible with the PC version (I'd think) so most likely it'd be a bad port to be similar in code to the PC one - for updates and such. I don't think the likelihood is that high of a PS3 version unless the game does very, very well...
The animations look like crap, I know this might pass for a PC game, but PS3 gamers will have a hard time going from playing a majority of games that feature motion capture to ones that don't. I mean looking at the guy running late in the video, is that really acceptable in this day and age. It's obvious they didn't invest the money in motion-capture animation, or if they did - they did a terrible job of it. 4 player co op looks cool though.
The picture they put on the site seems to insinuate it's for the multiplayer portion of the game, which means probably just new maps. Still crossing my fingers for co op.

Co-Op would be huge, the single player campaign in this game is great, I'd love to play through it with a friend (or 2), PLEASE make it happen. This would be the best game Co-op However I have a feeling its just a multiplayer level pack.
An extra campaign level would be sweet though too - ie: continue the storyline, the ending kind of set up for some kind of expansion content I'd think it'd be a different planet/scenario for another game. Keeping my fingers crossed
KZ2 had a much larger budget than the other one, so it's a lot more polished, and looks much better than Socom. However Confrontation is what it is: A low budget PSN filler game for the fans. Zipper's busy on MAG, so it will be a long time till we see a real Socom release. The game plays a lot like hidef Socom 2 with less polish(but better hit-detection.)
I'm glad someone is putting this up there, because Socom has better online than Killzone 2, in fact in my oppinion it has bet...
I was just hopeing this game would come out and give Sony/zipper reason to go back to calling the bad guys in Socom Terrorists instead of the stupid 'mercenaries' they use now.

I really doubt the wifi costs them much to produce in the first place, especially when you have it installed internally. DS, PSP, and wii all have it. It just seems that way because MS ridiculously overprices their adapter on the 360 because they're trying to take advantage of their consumers (hidden charges). If you want your MMO to be over 10 gb, How big is the 360 userbase that actually has a >20GB hard drive? It is probably very small. MMOs are made to expand and the 360 just doesn't cut it with 13gb. (That's all you get to actually use on a 20gb hard drive) It's sad that you have to buy a new hard drive through microsoft so they can profit off you - just so you can get an overpriced decent size hard drive.

These companies have to wake up and realize most xbox360s actually only have no more than 13gb to work with(what's actually usable on a 20gb 360, assuming the person doesn't want anything else installed) - you make a 360 version then you're limited on what you can do for expansions. $100 minimum is a lot to pay just so people can play your game.

I'm really skeptical that Zipper will go with their old strategy of having more players means you have to have bigger maps. We don't necessarily want that really. I don't really want a battlefield game. I mean Resistance 2 proved that more doesn't mean better with 64 guys. Killzone 2 has better competitive multiplayer than R2 did.

What bugs me about MAG is the inevitability of having respawn. Part of the reason Socom was great to me was the fact that your death would actually mean something, because you have to sit out for the remainder of the round. In the same token every kill you had would play out huge dividends for the round - (I know it's less of an impact with 32 players.)
The whole idea of one army attacking a fortified area of the other seems really cool though, I'm wondering where you'll respaw...
I wouldn't buy a re release on PSN, I want to see a full remake, and the remake has to have the same music or it won't be any good.
With the missed deadlines, development problems, and had all kinds of quality issues; there's no way Sony would want to acquire them. In fact Sony actually turned them away from further exclusives, as it seems to suggest. I think Lair could have been a lot better game than what they came out with.
7.4 is an OK game to me. From what I played from the demo theres no way this game deserves a score up with Killzone 2 and Call of Duty 4. The xbox original was good for it's time, but since then the bar has been raised. The same game with better graphics just won't do.
Still works great for me, you can't delete your friends account info from your users section.

Microsoft Sells the Arcade at a loss in hopes to recoop the losses by selling overpriced hard drives/memory sticks/charging for a service they already bank advertising revenue from. They hope, half of the idiots that bought the barebones 360 will upgrade. People still see $199 xbox 360 and $399 PS3 and don't realize one has large hidden fees.
It's obvious Microsoft has large profit margins on each of these items - something the competition isn't doing. One can hope MS's business ...
