Yea the timing suggests they wanted this out of the closet before they start hyping Resistance 3. They don't want a negative backlash happening when they start marketing the next game, which will probably be before Res 3 comes out.
I wouldn't doubt they'll go on and do a Resistance 4, there's a lot of money in it for them in that IP I'm sure.
Yea it does sound like something more in the vein of Spec ops or uncharted's co op.. I'd really like the whole campaign 2 player co op at least.
This deal is most likely the end of ratchet and clank being made by insomniac. Still expect them to develop resistance 3 exclusively though.
I really doubt it's DLC, They're probably making a new game either PSP or UC3, UC3 might be ready for a teaser already, knowing how fast U2 was done.
I honestly can't see the 'invisible' steering wheel being nearly as precise as a controller.
You have to wonder though how much it costs them to run dedicated servers for it 24/7, and if the whole project has been profitable; considering it is kind of like an mmo.

Except in the last twisted metal game Eat Sleep Play ported to the PS2 - there was a code encoded in the videos that came out to be Twisted metal PS3.

I personally think they're hoping for another big check from MS to make it go Multi-platform. (ff13vs.) Why do you think there's no mention of the 360 version yet, cause MS didn't buy it yet.
I agree, It seems they made this game (the engine more-so) for the 360 (and unified ram), then gave PS3 users a Port. Graphics do matter. It's like they were unwilling to get down and dirty with the Spus. PS3 owners know all good and well how a game engine can look when the PS3 is what it's designed for - and most developers even state that's the best way to develop multiplatform.

Things like queue time(which is getting worse), and being insignificant steer me away from the other game types, I still play them too- That's a joke to say I only play Sabo..
You have to understand it takes quite a bit more effort for Zipper to create 3 Domination maps than it does 3 Sabotage maps, you have to be practical with what can realistically be done. I just don't see 3 Domination size maps being done as DLC..
We need a 3 pack of maps, all being sabotage is fine with me. I actually hope they go on to do a MAG 2, considering how good they made Socom 2 after using Socom 1 as a test game, reusing all the maps is more than welcome.. All PS3 shooters should reuse the old maps in multiplayer..I do understand games like MW2 didn't do it cause of disk space on another console.
It does look really nice, as long as you haven't seen the 360 one.. As far as I can tell it looks sub-hd to me, just like GTA4, and it does seem a tad blurrier than the 360 one, Quincux AA is probably used.
I know it must sound like a conspiracy, but publishers really don't like it when the big review sites point out differences in the versions, their ideal is to say they look the same - or not mention it if it doesn't effect the gameplay. And the big review sit...

the MW2 DLC was pathetic.. buying it out just so their fans can have one up over Sony fans for a month, really does make you question why they would throw their money around like that. No one cares we'll wait a month, no ones going to buy the other version just to get ripped off on DLC earlier. It is kind of funny all the 'exclusive' stuff MS buys first costs an arm and a leg, like they're giving their fans a 'deal'
Last year the big leak was Team ICo's game.. That pretty much sank Sony's big reveal.. That was leaked, so was the PSPgo. All the stuff we've seen so far wasn't leaked, it was formally announced.

With the reports of 'tons' of software has me thinking some of it has to be good, but for that price might as well wait for it to get down to being affordable. Doesn't make a lot of sense if the thing is basically 2 web cams and a mic.
I do wonder though if they'll price it lower in america.
I'm also willing to bet MS will Rebrand the 360...
