Technically, if you have a 4k tv then that generates lag, the console has it's own lag, the controller interface has a bit of lag, any electrical devices around the console can cause lag etc... DF tested it and the latency is around the same as an Xbox one X/Ps4 Pro locally - but that's a best case scenario

You're thinking of your area and a certain provider (which not everyone can have). The average speed in the UK is 16 and USA is 18 - when you take into account that there are a few providers who over 30-50 or more with no issues, that means there's a lot of people who have much lower in order to drag this down.

The service supposedly drops to 720p if you drop below 15MB/s and that's when the latency issues and lag will begin to kick in, along with artifacts and ...

30 for 4k/60 at a decent quality - 1080p will be around 20-25 - supposedly it drops to 720p at 15Mb/s

Yet another analyst making up predictions and people are running with speculation as fact (not a surprise it comes from the click-bait Gaming Bolt either...)

If it's 15 then I imagine this will be with old games like most streaming services do - offer a monthly package and you can play older titles. The new titles will be either pay-per-game, pay-per-rental (like PSNow was actually going to be at first) or a subscription of at least double that to maybe get two or three...

Okay, so they interview a dev who did a VR game and Gaming bolt (obviously) twists the narrative into another Sony hate article.

Then thing they don't mention, or understand, is that Sony freely allows all PSVR titles to work seemlessly with VR on any other platform. I have loads of games which are MP with both pc and PSVR Crossplay for Co op or MP.

But no, that doesn't meet the sites narrative so they make things up.

@Rachel - so we're putting o our tinfoil hats and presuming everything we hear, unless it's from valve or to do with Steam, is a lie? Okay then, let's all live in that ignorant bubble where we believe that nobody likes the things we like and the millions who are using the platform shake their fist at the screen every time they're 'forced' to spend 5 seconds loading up the store...

Also, the game has been out a few weeks, not 3 months - so in your par...

There is over 85m active users on the store. There a selection of hand picked games which are advertised and shown off so everyone can see them, as opposed to the thousands of games stream allows just because they pay with no quality contol...

For a developer, there may be more people on steam, but the best exposure is the store with less content and more quality releases. Steam is terrible for discovering decent games you don't already know.

Consideing there are over 85m of active users on the service and games like metro sold over 2.5x the last game did in the franchise on steam, I doubt think they have to try that 'hard'

True though - the combination of the gyroscope motion controls and using the control sticks to look around, makes it much easier to aim than you'd think. Especially when the game has decent size hitboxes but no auto-aim like we see in modern games. In most console games these days, if you aim 'near' the enemy then the game will compensate and just kill the enemy for you - It's hard to describe, but it's like using a keyboard and mouse yet using the controller and hand move...

Can't be any worse than the 2008 reboot game!

2499d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah, they kept it very authentic but they did add a few modern enhancements to the game over the pc and N64 original. The motion contols work perfectly though, once I was used to them it was like second nature moving my hands to get in some precision aiming

PS2 can be downloaded as well, you're only required to stream the PS3 games on a PS4 console.

Yeah, but has anyone tried a MiFi controller yet? I know the touchpad won't work but a lot of games dont' use it anyway, other than for a button, and you can use the screen for that...

This isn't news... Apart from the odd month here and there, Asia always gets a different lineup - go look at Japan, theirs is always different, every month. The thing about HK though is you can get a year of plus for about half the price of is here in the west. So, you can technically get that one and have the same free games (if you don't mind losing the ones you got previously).

I have both a HK and UK PS Plus account as they do sometimes get different games than...

"What EA told us vs what the sold us: " - you do know the difference between a vertical slice promotional piece of footage and the final product don't you? Name ten games which look or play better, or exactly the same, as their E3 announcements... You'll find it hard to find any because E3 is a stage to show off a product that isn't finished, a product which is still in development and hasn't had compromises based on the direction the game goes in.

We reviewed this last week. It's a really good game - very brutal though. Works great on the switch with only a few slowdowns.

Probably, but everyone can try it for a dollar, so I don’t think that’s 100% the issue. I’ve played about 10 hours of it and I think I’m done. It’s very repetitive and a bit boring - and I’m a long time fan of the series.

Fair enough - I get it - if you don't like a game then nobody can, right... And again, you're casting your judgement on playing the Beta and reading other peoples reviews rather than playing the final product yourself... As I said, EA gave us the game the day the patch went live, that was around 2 days after the main sites put up their reviews, reviews based on previous versions.

Was the game dramatically changed? Probably not (I've not played it), but the whol...

Our reviewer is a massive Destiny fan, she had a great time playing Anthem. For her, she enjoyed playing it solo with random people for the missions as it means she could spent more time exploring and interacting with the characters, rather than having to skip over things to progress the story at the speed of everyone else.

We know the roadmap for the game and they have content coming regularly. As long as they deliver and the content arrives on time and adds more to the ga...
