And 10gb is tiny these days - I have 48gb of save data on my PS4, and that's after deleting a load! Dreams was 1GB on its own, probably bigger in the final game
Not 'millions' - GP has about 500k people subbed to it, if that. MS always exaggerate how many people use their services. Don't forget, GP accounted for 14% of streaming/rental services last year, with PSNow a massive 52%. I highly doubt PSNow has more than about 1-2m users
I believe Xbox and MS have completely forgotten how to hype up a game. They were talking about and showing SoT for months before release, but people soon got bored of it as the game was pretty much only what was in the beta. Then SoD was shown a few months early to IGN and the cracks were shown and the game turned out to be a poor seller. They showed off Forza and that did alright, but it clearly didn't sell as much as they'd wanted.
Leaving the only advertising to ...
I don't see your point? Those 64m Xbox users aren't Gold members, they don't disclose that info - that's just people with an Xbox live account. Basically, it's everyone who uses the Windows 10 store on PC for games, Mobile users who play Minecraft, Switch users who use Minecraft, Xbox 360 users (there are still some out there) and Xbox one users. Just like how the 90+m PS users aren't only PS4, it's PS4, Vita, PS3 and PSNow on PC users.
The othe...
The image could have been a better choice considering it's showing last Junes games :)
Just seen this part in your review "It is seriously lacking in a lot of things and a lot of people will become bored of it within the first few hours."
I imagine VNs aren't your thing? :) - it's kind of a niche market if I'm being honest, but there is a number of people out there, like myself, who enjoy these titles. This game actually has more interaction than a lot of the other Otome-style VNs out there. Those are 40-60 hour 'games' which you...
I don't see the hate and dislike for the game. Initially, on my first run through, I didn't think much of the game as I thought it was just a mild day-to-day sim where not much happens and the odd choice here or there didn't 'seem' to deviate from the path. Then, once I worked out how to manipulate the timeline, the game opened up with its many different scenes, six completely different endings with their own narrative, agenda, and story for an additional 4-6 hours each. ...
I don’t see a problem with announcing games. It helps create hype, shows gamers what’s coming in the future for them to play, and even convinces some people to buy a console. So far, Nintendo and aspny have both delivered their products even if there were a few delays.
The only company who shouldn’t confirm early, and now refuse too, is Xbox. This is because they’ve cancelled a few projects, issued big delays with downgrades, and promised tech which didn’t exist. That’s mor...
"According to a comparison video published on the Xbox YouTube channel" - once again, Xbox are promoting numbers which don't stand up when analysed. DF confirmed it was a reconstruction method which was hidden by the grain filter. '4K' doesn't mean 2160p natively according to MS, they are now touting anything above 1080p as '4K' - which is wrong.
also, yeah, it has increased skin tone and SS effects in areas... in comparison to the Xbox on...
@CaptainCook - what games have they said that on? Gow and Horizon spring to mind - both were a reconstructed 2160p image - so technically it's correct and it's a 4k image.
Had RE2 been a CB or injected 2160p then I'd see no issue them using the '4k' label as their definition is CB, native or dynamic. Not a great definition, but fair enough. However, it's a reconstructed 1620p - that's the issue. It's not close to a 2160p image, even after rec...
Res evil 2: There are a few analysis videos out there now and even DF have confirmed that both the Pro and X are using a reconstructed 1620p mode - the X was harder to spot in the initial tests due to it being a bit blurrier than the Pro's image.
It's nowhere near a native 4k though. However, even if we presumed it was the case that RE2 was 1620p on the X without the reconstruction (which it isn't), they still label the game as '4k' on the box and store ...
Pathetic article. Sony is a gaming cooler first, the PSVue comes second and offers high quality content over in America (also brings them a lot of cash)
The Xbox was a media centre first and gaming console second. That’s a massive difference
"According to the updated page, Metro Exodus is going to run at 4K Ultra HD on the Xbox One X." - these days, the MS store can't be used to confirm anything tbh. They have "4k UHD" on the site and boxes for Resident evil, for example. A game which we know is 1620p via reconstruction. I'm surprised Trading Standards here in the UK haven't taken them to court as it's a misrepresentation of the product in order to get a jump over the competition via lies on a ...
Dunno if you ever heard of CrapGamer on YouTube? Before the X came out, Uncle Phil did a tweet about the X’s packaging. He claimed the x would ourself the PS4 and Pro combined on launch due to it having ‘good packaging’
Don’t people know the PS4 has had native keyboard and mouse support since day one? They act like MS is doing something new. All they’ve done is bring out a 250 dollar light up keyboard and paid a few devs to activate K&M mode. How does this mean they’ll ‘win’ next gen?
Nobody says under 35 atm. People, myself included, estimated 36-40 due to it being around 31 in Dec 2017. People on here said less than 40 due to numbers of and chips made, but that was based on info a few months back
3:1 is in Europe. Americans sales make it close to about 2.2:1
We got that video roundup, the Americans didn’t. This is Sony America’s versions of that.
You don't get what I'm saying. I'm saying the article makes out like Smash sold more copies than Spider-Man has, which is untrue. Yeah, it's sold really well, but it sold around 3m copies in 11 days according to Nintendo (World Wide). Spider-Man sold over 3.3m copies World Wide in three days - that's what I'm saying.
The game is a few months old, so obviously, Smash would outsell it in its release month, but the article is pushing for clicks and bai...
You do realise that having Nintendo as a publisher doesn't mean they get 100% of revenue right... If they didn't develop the game they are publishing, like if they paid another dev to make a game in their franchise, then both parties receive a cut. This is the case with all companies. Also, this article was literally just PSN sales - so the amount from online sales - no physicals, no hardware, no accessories - just PSN sales. Yet the MS and Nintendo amounts were their whole division (...
