The total voters were 4,838.
I laughed. Way to try and use statistics in a manipulative way (I quote: "a whopping 49 percent"), and still show that the majority voted against/disinterested.
IGN ran a poll with over 75 000 voters, and it showed over 75% of people not impressed by the reveal event.
You can do anything with stats really, if people don't check what's written carefully.
Sad that great developers decided to get together with EA and effectively lose all of their identity with an uninspired, stock-standard, copy-paste serving of modern industry "win" formula. Clearly, the "winning" formula isn't winning so much anymore.
From the guys who brought Resistance and Ratchet and Clank, this is sad indeed.
I'm not sure what your agenda is, it really doesn't bother me if the Xbox One sells well, because console wars aren't what I'm interested in, only games and the system that works for me, which right now seems to be the PS4. So I'm not sure why you're making assumptions about me "wishing" it didn't say a lot and implying that I want the Xbox One to do badly. I don't.
You're making an assumption. Even a pre-order doesn't mean th...
Elite24Gamer, I don't think it says much to be honest, at this point in time. It's natural that interest will dramatically spike after a reveal event and after every single website, ad on television, and spoken about topic is the Xbox One.
You must remember that the PlayStation 4 was back in mid-February. I'm sure after its reveal, it was sitting at number one on many wishlists as well. Pre-order interest definitely was sky high once it became available.

There's a weird bit of troll there on that Amazon page. The PlayStation 4 is sitting at number 4 with a release date of "March 31, 2020"
Wtf?
The Xbox One release date is "31 December 2013".
Neither has been confirmed, and even if that "2020" release date is just a typo, no one said March. Sounds like someone on Amazon trolled the PS4 quite hard.
I like how you get disagrees for speaking fact. It's interesting to say the least :P
What's laughable, well more accurately pitiful about this article, is that Call of Duty: Ghosts does not even use a new game engine, it's enhancing its old engine, which means it's not truly a next-generation game, or any indication of what next-gen is capable of. Furthermore, Call of Duty itself, is a graphically inferior game to what is achievable on current-gen systems.
Furthermore, the best looking games will come later in the console's life cycle. Each ye...
Thank you rainslacker, I really appreciate that! :D It's great to just laugh at times like these, and I'm glad it provided that! =)
The YouTube channel was started under two months ago, so it's still in its infancy. At the moment there are Let's Plays, Game Industry-focused features, and another staff member has started indie-focused features.
This is definitely something I'd love to do more of, as writing and rhyming are two of my favouri...
@hellvaguy
It has been said many times =) Here are three separate sources confirming that Kinect must be plugged in and on at all times, as the Xbox One requires it to function:

Thank you, much appreciated! \;D/ Thought we could all take a break from the negativity on a Friday and just make some jokes and have a few laughs =) At MS' expense of course :P
Yep! I wasn't, I just used it as a prop because of the "awesome smiley" on the cover xD It's my game notebook, and there were only really a few notes in there that I looked at for reminders.
Everything is clear now. The PS4 will fail because it doesn't let you watch TV while you're watching TV, doesn't wash your car, brush your teeth, let you Skype while hanging upside down from monkey bars, and doesn't appeal to humans of all ages, animals of all species and aliens.
The future of gaming consoles is not gaming. It is everything but gaming. Mind blown.
That's as good a way to go as any. Laughter makes the world a better place =)
Wait, how the potato are you commenting!?
Yep, I'm wondering whether that's Rocksteady on an Arkham 3. At least we know it's not a reboot or prequel, because it would be extremely strange if there is one prequel (Arkham Origins) and one reboot.
But it could be interesting if Rocksteady (or some other studio) are working on the final Arkham game, so it would almost be like they're making the beginning and end of the Arkham story.
I also don't agree with the "wait for E3" approach, because Microsoft has already said that they're still months away from launching the console and they have not yet finalised these policies.
So it's highly doubtful that they will have "finalised" these policies in the next two weeks. We won't be hearing about used games and the 24 hour authentication for online and all the rest. If they had the answers they'd give them now, otherwise ...
I do apologise if it seems like repetition, but you must remember every site out there will have things to say in response to an event as big as this, and so will all the gamers as well. There'll always be many articles about it, each with their own piece to say :)
Like this feature focuses more on the PR mess that came after the event rather than the actual event itself.
Thanks to modern technology, he could wear full body armour, a chest plate, or opt to become part cyborg XD
I'm sure he'll be alright! \:D/
The other major issue with your argument, Ashlen, is that always-on doesn't really benefit us. The example you used helps us in no way whatsoever as gamers and consumers. In fact, it's a restriction on us, and because of the problems with always-on, poses many possible inconveniences.
Always-online isn't needed. It's something enforced for control reasons.
I can understand that viewpoint, I mean my PS3 is also permanently connected at my home, but the thing is it's different for everyone and there are many scenarios where you won't have access to an internet connection at all or even just a reliable one depending on your situation. For instance:
- You could be using wireless
- You may want to take your console on the road
- You may be moving and finding yourself without internet for a while
- You...
Perhaps I worded it incorrectly, but I wasn't saying that IGN's poll is contradictory to this one, I was simply pointing out that 75 000 voters is a number to take a bit of interest in. And furthermore, it's not just a gaming site, but an entertainment-focused site, so the demographic of voters would also be very varied, which may give a more important result.
But 49% of 4838 = approximately 2371.
This sample size and result can hardly even give s...
