What's amazing is the PS3 took over ten years to hit it's current number. The Switch did it in roughly 4 years. Pretty crazy

@oldenjon.......so your saying that in business you can't be inspired by your mistakes? Should I say the same about Sony when they totally turned off gamers with the PS3 launch? No, because they took inspiration from their screwups and re-focused. Inspiration and change can come from anything. Ultimately it was Xbox1 failure and Sonys dominance that inspired them to make the changes they have in place today. On top of it, were you somehow on the Xbox team? Because if you weren't, then...

Laughable article. The reason MS has been able to buy studios is because of the relationship. Todd, Tim and others said one of the factors of selling was the trust and vision Phil and company shared. If thats not relationship and studio building, then your smoking something.

Exactly his point. Had that not happened to them, it never would have galvanized the team into what they're today. Their is no failure in life. Only learning and pivioting. Which they have done in spades.

I don't see any problems with bots filling in. People are just adding nonsense to a very simple concept.

Not enough people to make it fun + bots to fill in the empty slots. Match set, Game on ... Simple

I hope they have the floating mountains. Would be cool to fly to them.

I actually enjoyed the game. Wasn't as bad as you make it out to be. Was it innovative..no...... But was it fun and mindless fun. Yes. Plus it's on Gamepass, so no consequence.

Well, we went from only on PlayStation to first party games being released on PC. Even if they're delayed, the very fact that their on PC is huge. Slowly it seems, the bar keeps on getting moved towards a more platform agnostic future.

How the winds have changed. Went from "believing in generations" to this. The goal Posts keeps on moving.

Come -on, announce it already. My wallet awaits.

That would be huge if they revealed it this year. I'm looking forward to seeing how they've upgraded the experience and what killer, must have games they have up their sleeves. If the price is right (no pun intended) it will sell like hot cakes.

I remember when the PS2 came out and it was impossible to get one. The same accusations back then, came up as well. Not sure if any of these type of tatics have actually been employed in the past or present? But it sure seems like it, especially in the first year of a launch.

I was hoping for a 3d return of Metroid, but this concept is so cool i can't wait to get my hands on it. Its amazing that this was supposed to be a sequel for the original game. Glad he was able to make it.

Can't agree more. whether its Sony game or MS game they will scale to the system they're being played on. If you have an older system, I would imagine they will push the hardware to the max.

In terms of Surprises, Xbox didn't really deliver on that front. But in terms of a solid showing with a ton crap of games, they delivered. Not only that, but the value of Game pass was clearly on display and it's insane what your getting for the price. The Quote of "Xbox has no Games"........is Dead.

Wow, democracy in distress. When your ousted out of your job because you donated money to a candidate or party, it's McCarthism at its finest. What's different this time? It's a bunch of anonymous people online and twitter who forced him to retire. The more Corporations bow to this kind of pressure the more power you feed into the mob mentality. Hope he gives them the middle finger and starts a new studio down the road.
