Well they have a long history together and i’m very curious on what will come out of this. I don’t see MS buying them out, just working together to hopefully bring something new to the gaming world.

The winds of change just keep blowing.

Looks wonderful, of course that footage had to be taken on the PS5. Regardless, I’m sure they push the PS4 to the limits.

I think they were channeling the old Sony commercial for the PS9. Showing their vision of the future.

I played number two back in the day a couple of times. It was a lot of fun, so after all these years, this newer version has me wanting to jump back in.

Okay so beyond your opinion, what proof do you have to back up your claim? The guy is a full time analyst, it’s what he does for a living. I’m sure he has connections that you and I don’t. My point, he is more informed than you or I. Because if the only info he had available to him is what we ourselves have access to, then why even hire him as an analyst?

Well, never say never. People said two three years ago that Sony’s first party titles would only ever appear on their consoles. Fast forward to today and that ship has sailed. So in another couple of years are we going to see day and date? Possible, but I can also see Sony sticking to this current strategy. Thing is, if they came this far, it’s not to much of a stretch to see them going day and date on the pc.

Hopefully, they have pushed them back before.

Here is something i found. It seems MS is going after a much more lucrative whale in the AR business.

So true on what you wrote. The idea of a console is you didn’t have to upgrade it. Plug and play that was it. Makes you really miss the good ol cartridge days, when storage cost were the game developers responsibility. Boy has that shifted.

So the argument and justification in the past was the cell processor were the reason they couldn’t do it. Looks like that argument was just rendered mute.

What people are missing on here is that their are three options and price points for series x and s.

No joke, this games concept didn't get very far.

I think the setup for The Initiative is for their 70 people to flesh out the ideas, mechanics, look and feel of the game. Then bring in a hired gun to ramp up production. Crystal Dynamics happened to be available and I'm sure Square Enix didn't mind the money.

Well the goal post has been getting moved. When this game launched know one would have believed it would ever be on anything but a Playstation. But it keeps happening more frequently now. and Sonys CEO did say he would like to reach hundreds of millions of people. Probably your right and it will never happen but again, I never would have believed a Sony first party title would ever be on anything else.

Interesting, but my first question would be. What franchises do they have to compete with Nintendo or Steam for sheer volume of content? Second, knowing its Apple, will it launch with the Apple tax?

It would be funny if the first game would be a boss simulator with the goal to build a monopoly. lol

Sony releasing 1st party games quicker and quicker. Is a day and date to far off?

Not a really a deep article and not strong on the facts. Of course any service is going to have its up and downs. That’s expected, but as far as anyone knows it has been growing double digits. Might not be where they want it, but considering they pushed halo back, they are doing well.

Nothing like a good ol’ positive Xbox article to stir the nest.

Good to hear. Now if they could just get more units.
