Good sale
Love the concept, up their with the weird and wacky like goat simulator but with guns. Lol
The good ol days of an all nighter LAN party. We usually lugged in four TVs with Xbox’s in tow and set them up in four different rooms. Food, Drinks and a lots of fun.
Well I can understand your concern about GP and understand the ownership issue. Thats always been a concern wether you talk about music, movies and of course games. I can however put my old Xbox discs in a newer systems and play them. Sony has allowed that to a degree. So you can still own your own content.
As for you grouping everyone who on GP as an Xbox fanboy, we’ll I doubt theirs anything I could say to change your mindset on that, so I won’t.
Peace
Well you seem to color people with a certain lens. I don’t mind a good differing of opinions. But as always it devolves into what side your on. I purposely didn’t paint you as a Sony fan and MS hater because I just wanted some good back and fourth. Unfortunately you decided to paint me in that light because I decided to defend Xbox.
I actually like both systems and both companies as well. Both companies have had their ups and downs. Both have folded studios into others or closed the...
The difference being that those studios you spoke of were developed internally. MS and Xbox were under two different leaders back then. Ballmer and Matrick. Both who lacked understanding of the gaming Market.
So your saying that under Nadella and Phil spending billions on these companies. With a proven track record of their own are somehow going to produce nothing???
You don’t make sense. I can tell you right now when a company spends billions, no less 68...
I never said anything about MS winning. But subscriptions services always start at a loss. Usually it takes years to start turning a profit. But do you honestly support the idea that with all the studios MS has and all the content they will produce. That the service isn’t going to grow?
If in the next five years they haven’t really grown nor turned a profit. Then you could say it’s a failure and time to hang it up. But with Mountain of content coming. I personally don’t se...
It’s been in existence for 5 years. So your saying with all the content that will be coming, plus all the deals they’ll be doing with other companies they can’t do 100 million?
I honestly expect in the next two years they be there and possibly beyond.
Did you guys even read the article? They are talking mainly about TenCent and specifically Riot Games and the agreements that Xbox has with them.
Then they go on to talk about Xbox offering special perks to people that play under TenCent umbrella. To play those same games on GP. 168 million gamer base is nothing to snuff at.
With incentives, deals they make with other developers, the convenience of playing on any device and of course the cost. They cou...
I’ll be playing it.
That’s a tough one. Sony would definitely not share their games with all platforms. But they would definitely support them in the right way.
TenCent would allow them to go multiplat I’m sure. But do you really want the Chinese government in control of them?
I’m hoping they stay independent or even merge with another videogame company. But the costs of making AAA games now seems to have grown exponentially. That could be the key for them to seek out acquisition. A...
I forgot about this. Sega definitely experimented a lot and always seemed way ahead of thee trends when it came to this and Dreamcast.
More ships….. how original !!!
Interesting article. Why I hope they are entirely wrong about the traditional console. Their is no denying Nintendo hybrid system the Switch is a huge success. As processors drop down to the 4nm size now. Where will they be in the next 4 or more years? Heck, screen tech in the next four to five years will be even more efficient. 5g should be in full swing, making streaming more feasible. Not to far fetched that Sonys and Ms next consoles could be hybrids.
If you doubt that...
Not sure why all the disagreements when your just stating a fact.
That said, when it comes down to it, it’s just competition. Just a little under handed. Now if it was MS called out on this, the fanboys would be having a field day with it.
It’s no sweat on MS to allow Call of Duty on PlayStation. They benefit no matter the scenario. People will either pay $70 dollars or jump onto Gamepass. It’s that simple. They’ll make a profit either way.
Very impressive list. Xbox has one in the top ten, Sony has four and Nintendo has five. What surprised me was the PS1. For years after it was replaced by the PS2 I hadn’t know it had broken the hundred million barrier until 3 years ago.
I remember playing Jumping Jack Flash and thinking what a quirky fun game. I had alot of fun times on that console.
Glad they are getting back to one on one with people. I’d wish they do something like this in the U.S.. Another hanger show would be cool.
If your counting consoles you could be right. But that’s not all MS is involved in anymore. Subscriptions are more important than hardware sales. Why do you think that Sony went from saying we believe in generation, to welcome to our new combined subscription services? On top of the fact they are releasing games on the PC, which the window keeps on shrinking for how far after launch on the PlayStation they show up.
The console race isn’t what it used to be.
Wish I was in college right now.
