Good to hear. I guess the theory that’s this game could only be done on the PS5 dies with this announcement.

Why? Looking for witch hunt? Sounds like something a communist country would say. Let’s hunt down these interlopers and deal with them.

I can see some of what he is saying. It seems there is always a dominant genre that is more glacial in change. But I see with engines like Unreal 5 and it’s more accessible nature. Opening up more innovative titles,

Well you might as well ask why anybody does anything in the world? Especially on YouTube. As for the feat, it’s just someone having fun and encouraging some kids along the way. If you have problems seeing the value in that. Then, hopefully that will change. Good luck

Really cool and the artists did an amazing job.

Agree on that. You should see if you can get the job overseeing one of these shows. You had some good ideas. I really think a fan based show would go very well. Like a Comic-Con for all things gaming. Possibly have it as a bi-annual event. So it’s not a big pressure cooker every year.
Whatever they do, your on point that they need to change up the formula.

A lot companies still go but I was talking about the big three and companies like EA.

I believe some of the other reasons for some of these shows dying. Is because physical retail isn’t as important anymore. Especially for a show like e3 that were started for that express reason. To connect with retail stores and publishers.

You are definitely right about the time these shows take away from game development. But still sad to see it diminished.

Personally I think it’s kind of sad to see this type of venue starting to disappear. Theirs nothing like taking time off to go to one of these events. To be able to connect with other gamers and of course share in the excitement of gaming. Something you’ll never fully be able to replace with the impersonal internet.
As for cost of companies showing up at such events that’s a joke. All of those so called big expense actually can be justified as a business expense and used to lower ta...

@ Shane Kim,
Sony also includes the cheaper digital PS5 in their numbers and do not distinguish. So really that example is a wash.

It’s not that people don’t deserve to express their disappointment. It’s the extreme attacks that are the problem. The Death threats and hate people throw at developers is way over the top. These are just games at the end of the day and nobody deserve the hate they receive from a bunch of anonymous people.

Games not even out and of course the good ol band wagon all over it.

People love to bring up Fallout 76. That’s one game, which they have already fixed. While all the other games they have made were engaging from the get go and have been huge sellers.

So to think this game is going to be a failure because you can’t fly into a planet is pure nonsense. Bethesda games have alway been about the narratives, places you visit, and the choices you make. People ...

Definitely a supply issue and stiffer competition for the PS5. The PS4 was a stellar performer because it had ample supply, lower price, good games, and of course Xbox shooting itself in the foot. Which all contributed to it selling like hotcakes.

You even were downvoted for stating a fact. Go figure

Where is that info? From everything that they shared, I have not heard them specifically state that. Please clarify where they have said that. Mahalo

If this was MS you’d all be smashing them left and right. But hey it’s Sony…. so no controversy here.

So I read the article and how are people saying you can’t fly in atmosphere? He said, space and in atmosphere are two distinct environments from one another. He doesn’t say anything about not controlling the ship in atmosphere.

In the video they showed, it clearly states you can fly your own ship.

Yeah and it’s still behind a pay wall. Being able to play a game to see if you like it serves the same purpose as demos did. Also, this concept has been done before and still around. The only difference is you don’t have to pay for the privilege of trying it out, whether or not you unlock the whole experience by paying.

I understand they are trying to add value to the service. But what use to be free, is becoming increasingly locked up behind these services. Just so you can...

The only thing I don’t like the sound of is exclusive demos behind gamepass paywall. Smells like Sonys paywall for demos on their service.
Demos should be free and available to all, not just for those paying a subscription.
