Regardless of price, a lot of people think that the product itself doesn't look great at all. I for one never once asked for a mobile/console hybrid. And there are plenty of other people like me out there who see zero use cases for the mobile aspect of the Switch. I realize mobile is prevalent in other countries but if Ninty wanted a piece of the mobile pie they should start pumping out AAA titles to iOS and Android. There's absolutely no reason why the main Pokemon games can't be...
Bullshit. Nintendo set unrealistic expectations when they announced the Wii U would have N64 and Gamecube games on VC, not to mention the fact that they expected people to repurchase all of the VC games they owned on the Wii. And somehow we the consumers created these "unrealistic" expectations? MS brought backwards compatibility to the XBone for fucking free yet it's unrealistic to expect the Switch even be able to play some Nintendo legacy games? You guys wonder why everyone s...
The problem is while Nintendo was making bank selling Wii's to old people and little kids, MS and Sony were building solid online infrastructures, building up their existing IPs and listening to what the majority of gamers want and delivering. Because of this, Nintendo has fallen so far behind that I truly believe they no longer have any chance competing with Sony and MS. And now the mobile gaming industry is dominated by Android and iOS, there is literally no other reason for them to exi...
@Utalkin2me
The amount of content a game has really depends on who is playing it and why. No one playing Overwatch is bitching about no content because the game doesn't revolve around having an overwhelming amount of content to burn through; It revolves around the solid gameplay, different character mechanics and competition. And with regard to people burning tons of money on loot boxes, every unlockable in the game can be obtained for free. I haven't spent a singl...
I'm curious about this too what with the recent news that they are now recalling all unsold Wii U's from stores. Honestly, I want Nintendo to cancel it for the Wii U that way I never have to buy another Nintendo console again because if they do that they better damn well expect disgruntled Wii U owners NOT to upgrade. I think my real fear is that the Wii U version is somehow inferior to the Switch version.
I totally agree man. People act as though turn based combat is somehow an interior battle system and it's a god damn shame. It's what made the first 10 Final Fantasy games so appealing to me. Persona 5 is doing extremely well with turn based combat and it hasn't even gotten to America yet.
I agree kalk. While I don't think XV looks like a bad game, I refuse to acknowledge it as an actual FF game. Square Enix killed the FF name years ago with 13 and proceeded to run it into the ground with two sequels that I don't think a single person asked for. Why anyone still supports them as a company is beyond me. They essentially reduced the entire sub genre of turn based rpgs to indies and shit mobile games riddled with micro transactions in favor of what they think will get them...
Uhg I upvoted this on accident. Someone please downvote me to make me feel bad about myself. Turn based all day.
Yeah the software attach rate is extremely high because there are only like 5 games worth owning on a Wii U.
Agreed I'm just glad Zelda is still coming to Wii U that way I don't have to buy this piece of garbage.
Edit: Not that the Wii U itself isn't garbage, but I already have one :p
Yeah I think they milked the shit out of the game and as far as I'm concerned the series hasn't been relevant since the second game. Not saying he spinoffs were bad games but the series needed a conclusion ten years ago. It was completely unnecessary for them to release so many spinoffs and not actually conclude the story of the main games. I personally am not super interested in seeing the third game come to fruition. Maybe if it had come out when the other games were relevant I woul...
Agreed Fox, they are missing a huge opportunity not turning an updated Gamecube controller into their flagship controller going forward; however, the new pro controller doesn't look bad at all. We can dream though can't we :(
The negativity, at least for me, comes from the lack of focus on their games and way too much focus on the hardware experience. What their next console is going to be should be at the bottom of their list of priorities. Stop trying to force unique hardware onto me and focus on what I love about gaming, THE GAMES! BotW looks fantastic and is exactly what they need to be doing, but not just with Zelda, with all of their IPs. The Wii U didn't suck because of the shitty tablet, it sucked caus...
Companies have been doing this for decades and are not out for the best interest of their consumers. That's why food companies are able to lie and use crafty terms to disguise or hide ingredients in their products to sell more to consumers. And fuck review sites. Anyone who needs a review site to tell them what to buy is a fucking idiot. Not to mention the fact that half of the review sites are bought off anyways BY the companies. So who cares of they are user friendly? Wait until you can...
Are you that uninformed? How hard is a YouTube search for "that game's gameplay video"? You have to wait until some reviewer decides a game is worth playing before you buy it? Just follow the games development, wait until you see some solid gameplay videos and don't buy into hype. Simple as that.
So much this. I don't understand butthurt gamers. Like wait a few weeks and then decide if you want the game bad enough. It's not like you're gonna be that far behind. I heard awesome things about the Doom campaign and had a chance to play the multiplayer beta and I STILL waited until Amazon put it on sale. Ended up saving about 30 bucks and still got to enjoy the multiplayer while all my friends were playing it. I hardly ever buy games day one unless it's a game I've been...
Show me the list of all of the ACTUAL games that devs pledged to bring to the Switch, not just a list of the supposed devs supporting it. The console won't fail because of 3rd party support because xbox and playstation will always do it better and that's a fact. It's going to fail because Nintendo has no idea what the fuck they are doing even with their own IPs. Games sell every system and if Nintendo can't bring the games people want to it, it won't sell. Simple as that. ...
The only game the Switch needs IMO.
Man people on this site can't even comprehend a short paragraph. The comment explicitly says if you "don't care about the portability". He isn't saying that Nintendo is forcing you to use it, he is saying that if you aren't planning on using it in the first place, the system doesn't offer anything else that is unique enough to attract 3rd party devs, nor will the experience with a 3rd party game be better than that of the XBO/PS4.
Edit: Gramm...
Well you can't really stop people from voicing their opinions. And if you haven't noticed, the entire world cares about resolutions. If they didn't, 4k wouldn't exist. People who shit post the same comments about the Switch have every right to, especially if they are Wii U adopters. We got the shaft last gen and we'd like to save some of you blind assholes who perpetuate the shittiness of companies like Nintendo because they come out with a new Zelda game once every half a...
