It was going to be a multiplayer Mac and Windows 3rd person game.
Microsoft bought Bungie, made Halo into a FPS and stuck it on Xbox.
If it goes up on the PlayStation network then European users can look forward to watching it this time next year...
@NoUseMerc
A Japanese company giving all its revenue to an American company isn't really going to help the Japanese economy, so it's extremely unlikely that they'll make FFXIII an exclusive on a console that isn't selling in Japan.
Final Fantasy XIII a timed exclusive? Don't make me laugh.
WTF?! They'll allow hoards of Harry Potter fans to turn up, but not a handful of Halo fans.
EVEN BIGGER SPOILER THAN HALO 3
Snape killed Dumbledore because he gave into temptation and put on one of Volermorts Horcruxes which was disguised as a ring. Snape managed to contain most of it in Dumbledore's hand, but ultimately it would consume him, so Dumbledore told Snape that he must kill him.
Later this year for Japan and the US.
This time next year for Europe...
It's sold out in the UK already?! There must be a way to get a copy... Oh wait, here they all are!

Is this some sort of joke? I know that Halo 3 is not out until the 25th, but not including it with the console is just daft.
It's like those adverts on The Simpsons:
"Out this Sunday, the Xbox 360 Halo 3 edition. If you love everything about Halo 3, make sure you get one and be the envy of all your friends (does not include Halo 3)"
They could of at least have given people a voucher so they could pick up a copy for free on the launch day....
If you want to play Crysis with all the features enabled, you're going to need to buy Windows Vista (because Microsoft have paid us to tell you that). Otherwise we're just going to disable some features and claim you need DX10...
Nuts magazine?! I'd take that with even less of a pinch of salt than The Sun.
Nuts magazine, it's full of "Tits and Giggles"
The Sun, it's full of "Tits, tits, tits"
Agreed, the number of units sold in Japan wouldn't justify the exclusivity because the Xbox 360 doesn't sell over there, and no one in the west will buy it since they'll all be playing Halo 3...
Which is why the gaming industry is going to collapse in the next couple of years. People will only play FPS and racing games and games that try to do anything new or different will fall by the wayside.
Apparently, if it doesn't have a rocket launcher or a racing car in it, then the game's not worth playing.
@Mr Marbles
Saying that the Xbox 360 has more games than the PS3 is like saying there are more titles on DVD than there are HD-DVD / Blu-Ray.
The PS3 and Wii haven't been out as long as the 360, therefore they have less games.
The only people buying the 360 in Japan are the collectors. You know, the ones that own the Amiga CD32 and the Apple Pippin.
The majority of games on the 360 are First Person Shooters which the Japanese don't play. If Microsoft want to tap the market, they need to start making horse racing and card trading games.
What the 3DO did give to the industry was 6 foot of controller cable. OK, so now it's not so useful when controllers are wireless, but it did mean at the time you could sit on the couch to play a game rather than on the floor...
Oi, Braben!
Stop whining about what everyone else is doing and give us a true sequel to Elite!
Looks like the American box art to me. Where's the Japanese/European one?
Well, that's this generation's console war over and done with! Microsoft and Nintendo should hang up their gloves (controllers) now.
Here's a list of possibilities
1. Master Chief is actually a lady
2. The Windows Vista version will be out at Christmas with exclusive features
3. You need to download a 4GB patch before you can play it
4. Luke Smith will appear on the site wearing nothing but a smile
5. The PS3 version will be out in January
