The Japanese don't play First Person Shooters, it gives most of them motion sickness. You can release as many of them as you like in Japan, they simply won't get played.
Name me one famous Japanese FPS
No USB, what the hell? The backwards compatibility is in the software in Europe.
How will the controllers work?
I'm sure that everyone will agree with me that if anything should go then it should be the SD card readers. If people really need to view photos on their PS3 they could stick them on a USB key...
Get rid of the card readers, the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth. Job done.
I can guess a few of them right now:
Complete the game
Complete the game on (name of difficulty level)
Complete the game in under x hours
Complete level without taking damage
Complete level without firing a shot
Clock up 100 hours online
Get 100 kills online
Get 1000 kills online
Get 10,000 kills online
Don't get killed online
Don't take damage online
etc...
I don't see how this matters, the disc is going to get scratched to sh!t by the 360 anyway...
I think it's highly unlikely that anyone will be able to sell another console in the quantities that the PS2 did.
"Metal Gear Slug 7" eh?
Is this going to include Solid Snake? Or maybe it could feature squillions of cutscenes...
On a more serious note, I'm glad that they're still making these games, even though MS4 was quite poor.
Picked up Metal Slug Anthology from HMV.co.uk for £7 + free delivery. There's a nice tip for UK PS2 Metal Slug lovers!
What a dumb article to print. Of course Microsoft is going to slag off Sony. They're not exactly going to say
"Oh, I imagine that they've had a bit of a set back with Home but once they've got it up and running it'll be an amazing experience"
"The rumble's back in? Oh great, I was really disappointed when I found out it wasn't there. Good for them!"
Agreed, for me personally there's nothing that I use that requires Windows. I rarely have to use a word processor and in the cases I need to I can just use Open Office which open and saves Word documents with no problems.
Both spellings of judgement are as valid as each other, though I think that judgment is considered the American English version, much like color and armor.
MK2 is better than Street Fighter 2? Give me a break.
2D fighters owe everything to Street Fighter 2 and I'd dare say that most 3D fighters do aswell.
No SF2, no KOF and certainly no Mortal Kombat.
You will see games like this on Xbox, they'll just be cunningly disguised as racers and shooters.
I can confirm that this is a lie. The video has been doctored, it originally said
"For Wii and Xbox 360 Only"
but the person that recorded the video edited it to spread FUD.
There are so many review copies that are sent out to games magazines etc. that I'm not really surprised that someone leaked it. I can imagine someone may have been offered a bribe to sneak a review copy out...
I've played the game through and can confirm that the intro and end sequences on the web are genuine.
The plot's good, it's just a shame the ending is so crap.
The gameplay is really good. Well, for a console game it's really good. A hardcore PC gamer would probably describe it as passable.
I haven't played it online (obviously), but the offline multiplayer's OK. Split screen isn't really the best for, well, just about anything.
I imagine that Japan and the US will get it either this weekend or the following one.
Europe will get it after the full game has been released and everyone's completed it. Twice.
@SofaKingReetodded
I'm a PS3 owner being sarcastic...
No one's said it yet, so I'd better:
I can't wait for Konami to announce this as an Xbox 360 exclusive
I never understand what the fuss is about the HD size.
You can take the bloody thing out and replace it! The manual even tells you how to do it!
Microsoft admitting that they collect information about you could cause serious problems.
They shouldn't be collecting this information and sending it to their headquarters without the user's consent.
I wonder what else they're collecting from Xbox 360 owners?
@Anego Montoya
I agree, far too many games nowadays are being ruined by the story mode being rushed just to spend more time on the multiplayer, which turns out to be another run-of-the-mill deathmatch game.
Sure, put it online multiplayer if you want, but don't sacrifice the single player experience just to put in another rocket arena.
