As analysts pointed out when Microsoft first announced that it was going to enter the console market, Microsoft have enough money to keep making consoles until they eventually win. If the 360's sales start flagging, they'll just drop it and announce another console, like they did with the Xbox.
The problem is that they WILL eventually win and then the console market will become as dull and stagnant as the PC games market has become.
It might take them another 10 ...
IT IS NOT GOING TO BE ANOTHER MARVEL VS BLOODY CAPCOM GAME. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE LICENCE TO MAKE THESE GAMES.
It'll probably be one of the following:
1. You can download all their games from the PSN Store (Europe excluded, obviously)
2. Resident Evil remakes
3. Dead Rising / Lost Planet for PS3
4. They're completely dropping support for the PS3
It won't sell in Japan because not enough people own a 360 and it won't sell in the West because, well, it's not Halo 3.
Shame really.
Miserable bastard.
Get a job you like, that's what I did.
Seriously, you have more chance of seeing Halo 3 on the PS2 than Marvel Vs Capcom 3 appearing on ANYTHING.
All it's really going to be is Dead Rising 1 and 2 and Lost Planet 1 and 2.
And if not then they are "planning" some PS3 exclusives...
How can they be working on something that they're not allowed to make? EA has the licence to make (ruin) Marvel games.
Look on the bright side:
At least now we don't have to get our hopes up all week just to find out that we're being served America and Japan's leftovers.
Hey Europe! You get the Ratatouille trailer!
But we've already got it.
Not the 1080p version! Enjoy!
Microsoft will announce the next Xbox towards the end of next year, I guarantee it.
Why? Because the limitations of DVD are going to become more apparent in 2008, so they will need to fix it by releasing a new console with an HD-DVD drive in it.
Everyone knows that before video games were around, there was no such thing as violence, muggings, rape or war. In fact, video games can be blamed on events such as 9/11.
The sooner video games are banned, the sooner we can all experience the peace that our ancestors enjoyed during, say, 1914 - 1918 and 1939 - 1945...
I don't mind advertising as long as I also don't have to pay for the product as well.
I'm talking to you Sky TV.
Agreed, the game will most likely still be in English with subtitles, or you'll be able to choose English as the language.
That video was awful. He walked into half the enemies on purpose and then claimed that they were irritating. Why don't you just play the game normally?
Since you're such an MS fanboy, could you have a look and see if they have an article about making something readable?
Depends, Microsoft might own the rights to Halo. If they do, then they could either commission Bungie to make more games or use another team to ruin it.
Otherwise, they'll have to bribe Bungie into making any future Halo games "only on Xbox"
Congratulations, you're officially an even bigger moron
Congratulations, you're officially a moron
Wow, they kept in the Wi-Fi too. Good on them, I guess a major complaint about the 360 is the lack of built in Wi-Fi.
Glad the see they chucked the memory card readers, they're gimmicky at best. 2 controller ports is OK too, the PSOne and PS2 only had two anyway.
Looks like the BC is still in there too, mind you, it'd actually be more trouble than it's worth to take it out / disable it...
Does the Zune has Gapless Playback?
No? Oh well, looks like I'll stick to my ageing iRiver with Rockbox...
Still doesn't look like they're interested in adding Gapless Playback. I love having 1 second gaps between songs when listening to my DJ mixes...
I'm not an xbot, I just know how M$ work.
If they feel that the 360 is starting to fail, they'll drop it like a brick and announce another console and they'll keep doing it until the competition can't keep up.
I don't want it to happen, because they will kill the gaming industry (and they're f@cking it up as it is already).
