“They'd make money off extra GP subs being on it and using it as a handheld instead of a phone.
Nobody cares about streaming on the go but having a option to have a steam deck on the go with GP or PSNow would he Huge downloading the games on it?”
The appeal of the steam deck is emulation more than anything from what I see from gamers. I don’t think having a subscription for a handheld is a lure in any way. PC gamers already have gamepass on their PC’s if they w...
Microsoft wouldn’t make money on steam deck sales so no…nor will the steam deck be wildly popular. PC gamers don’t want to play on a handheld. This is a great concept that will fall by the wayside.
Elden Ring is not stealing Horizon’s thunder. Entirely different games for very different gamers. The only thing they share is being open world.
While I agree on lighting, shadows etc. project cars vehicles do not look as good as GT7’s lol
Elden Ring could win it...my concern is how accessible it is. Souls games are not for everyone, including me. I want to play this but feel like I need a break from this type of game after beating Demon's Souls PS5 lol. This is a AAA game that probably more than half of gamers will not enjoy.
The PSVR2 headset has no graphics capabilities since it lacks a CPU and GPU which means it's acting more like a screen for your console which even the Quest 2 can do wireless or wired to a PC. The Quest 2 has the console built in with a Snapdragon XR2 chipset (more powerful than a Nintendo Switch), 6GB ram, 128GB storage, Wifi, Bluetooth, Heatsink w/ Fan, 2 Speakers, and a Battery. The PSVR2 has none of that but has rumble motors, better screen, better head strap, and 2 extra IR cameras f...

Not comparable, Oculus is standalone, you can't use PSVR 2 without PS5.
Very comparable. Which one is giving you a next-gen experience? Wire or no wire if you give a person both headsets I know which one they’re picking. Nobody is going to say “well this one is better because it has a CPU/GPU built in…or this one has a justified price because it has this built in. Great you also need to worry about battery life and the PSVR2 you do not. You also ...
No Quake Champions? Bummer
Agreed with all eclxcept your very last sentence. I love being an early adopter. Been enjoying it so far too. Also what is “BoS”?
Oh there's a definite thrill to being there from launch for a console. I am a launch person myself. BoS is Kena: Bridge of Spirits
This is definitely for e-sports purposes
This has too much tech to be $199. Be realistic...even the Oculus isn't $199 and doesn't have the graphics capabilities or tech that this has.
So halt everything because of a shortage. New games are useless too I guess. Im not sure why they're releasing Gran Turismo 7, totally useless if you can't buy a PS5 anywhere. Inventory will rise by the time this comes out. Silver lining to those who haven't been able to get one yet.... you'll have Demon's Souls, Returnal, Ratchet & Clank, Horizon, Gran Turismo 7, Miles Morales, Kena: BoS, Deathloop, God of War and PSVR2 as your launch lineup. With numerous updates...
Not even. Next friday!
Wrong.
It picks up after this
Dying Light was just nearly impossible at night at times. I think it was more the dread of just expecting death rather than the scare factor itself. Plus the lighting system was just so poor that everything was pitch black without a flashlight. Dying Light 2 has a beautiful moonlit night time that allows you to see on the rooftops.... accidentally fall onto the street though and it's another story. The first dying light made most people just sleep off until daylight skipping half the e...
I’m starting to transition to the digital side. I’ve always loved physical game boxes and the option of another movie player….I haven’t used my series X or PS5 once for a Blu-ray movie, and I’ve bought recent titles digitally because there’s something incredibly convenient about just being able to swap between games without having to get up and pop in a disc with the speed of these SSD’s. Losing out on some trade-in money down the line for sure buttt does that outweigh 6 or so years of gettin...
Except they don’t need to change anything.
I agree on Returnal being the first followed by Ratchet & Clank. Both games would not be the same experience on a PS4. Demon’s Souls was a remake but damn it looks beautiful and those load times!
Yea, because when I spent the $650 on it the first thing I wanted to do was load up some super old games I could literally play anywhere and on anything else. Having gamepass on the steam deck is exactly one of the things I would want to do. I don't get your logic.
The poor screen quality, 720p resolution and 1.5 hour battery life is exactly why new games won’t be the target for this device. Not to mention every reviewer says you cannot use it outdoors. It’s a cool piec...
