man the jabs at the length of the cutscenes in MGS 4 are quite amusing. Unbelievably sad, pathetic, and smacks of bitter resentment, but highly amusing nonetheless.
Btw, that 6 hours of video supplements (that means "supports") about 20 hours of gameplay.
Considering RE5 is coming out sometime in 2009, I would have to agree with you.
It is a highly polished and an excellent game experience. However, whether it wins GOTY is up in the air. Especially when fanboy fave Gears 2 coming in the fall.
While the general consensus is that MGS is an excellent game, sadly GOTY will be determined by online voting by the fans. So it wouldn't surprise me that Gears wins things like G4 game awards and other similar contests based on shear popularity alone.
Look at last year, God of War II lost best action game ...
Star Ocean 4 not multiplat? Oh really? I think you're both wrong there.
If that were the case, both MS and SE would be touting it as a full exclusive. Neither one has. Not in any of the press releases. Only SE mentioned that they would not discuss if it were coming to the PS3. And they did so at a MS event.
This is no different than when Epic was purposely vague on UTIII for the 360. Even going as far as to say they haven't even began working on it. Everyone knew i...
yeah thats it. Its the PS3's fault the game is garbage. That's why.
Considering that the 360 and the PC were the lead platforms and the PS3 version isn't even done yet thats like saying the UTIII for the PS3 did so bad because the 360 version held it back or that Burnout didn't sell well because the 360 held it back.
But you're just a git.
Im sorry but that is the funniest thing I've heard or read today.
DMC had a better story than NG 1 and 2.
my first play through was about 26 hours and that was doing and seeing everything I could.
The second time through, with the carry-overs, I'm looking at about 14-17 hours. And that is skipping over many of the cutscenes and going from point A to B in a timely manner.
You can infact play over thirty hours in the game, there is even an emblem that you can get from doing so. Similarly there are many emblems for beating it under 6 hours.
In short, MGS is a...
Time after time the 360 has outsold the PS3 each month?
Im sure the NPD would disagree with you from October 2007-February 2008 and then May 2008.
But Im sure your ranting would have eventually gotten to that huh?
It took me about 4 1/2 hours of play time to get through the first act. With the cutscenes, it was about 5 1/2 hours total.
I could definitely see where the cutscene length would outweigh play time but only if you just ran through the sections trying to get the check points. But half the fun is just trying to see everything and cause a little havoc between the PMCs and rebels.
For me, I was just wandering around seeing where I could go and collecting weapons to b...
Except in another gamepro article, the president of RAD said they had no Wii titles in development.
this game is on the PS3
umm..this game IS on the PS3. It's a multiplat title.
@ Juuken
It's cool bro. I was just theorizing that, based on how it seems SE is doing business with Nintendo, MS, and Sony, it wouldn't be surprised at more of their tertiary titles, i.e. offshoot or new franchise titles, to go multiplat.
This has nothing to do with where and how well it sells. You seemed to have missed the point entirely.
My answer was directed specifically at your assertion that just because people are sure that SO is going to the PS3 that it does not mean that FF XIII will stay exclusive.
The fact is that while FF XIII was confirmed 100% exclusive for the PS3, SO4 was not. This means that it is more probable that it will go to the PS3 than FF going to the 360.
Compr...
Actually, SE reworked their "white engine" a while back to the "crystal tools," a multiplatform engine. That is where the speculation that FF XIII was coming to the 360 originated from.
The difference is that SE has left no doubt that FF XIII is PS3 exclusive, at least the main game. Go back to any of the interviews concerning the game and its explicitly stated as such.
Now with SO, there is no such guarantee. If it were 100% exclusive, both MS and SE would say so. As neither is saying anything, it's easy to speculate that is only a timed exclusive.
i don't know about FFXIII being a timed exclusive. Look at how SE seems to be supporting the consoles, both home and portable.
Each one is getting at least one exclusive game, with the exception of the handhelds getting at least 2. Infinite Undiscovery being the one for the 360 and, presumably, FFXIII being the PS3's.
Now, I wouldn't discount FF versus XIII being multiplat, but a timed exclusive for the PS3. There does seem to be a logic to what SE is doing. Even i...
The fact is that if it were 100% exclusive, both SE and MS (especially MS) would be touting it as such.
The language that SE uses is purposely vague, kind of like when Epic was asked about UT 3 for the 360.
So until either MS or SE comes out and says it is 100% exclusive, it is only a TIMED exclusive. It is as simple as that.
except that its not in-game it is clearly cg, at least for 98% of the trailer. The only exceptions are the gameplay, which looks completely different compared the movies and maybe the scene where the woman sidekicks that other guy.
If you can't see that, then wow..you will be disappointed when it actually comes out.
dont worry, thats how they role. They block or ignore you when you offer dissenting opinions.
