except the fact that the more graphically impressive PS3 games, both exclusive and multi-plat, do not require installs.
And even if it comes to "large" installs its no problem to go buy a larger hard-drive at a reasonable cost. How's that work on the 360 again? 120gb for how much?
@Jenzo
Except in Mass Effect, there was a lot of duplication and deception to get it to fit on that disk.
Look at any planet and the underground missions, the layout is almost exactly the same save different set pieces. The same thing is apparent for for those missions that occur in a compound or on a starship. In reality, the main story path is the only place where you'll see diverse and complex levels and art direction.
While I agree that Mass Effect...
as many have pointed out this is an early build of the game.
I played this at Leipzig last year.
That's what I was thinking but I couldn't place the familiarity of the level. Then it hit me, I remember playing the exact same demo in Germany last year.
Are NG 2 and Too Human MS first party titles or under the MSGS banner?
Yeah, I agree there will be those comments and the whole "two-thirds playing, one-third watching" comment will be completely ignored.
Even if this figure is just a guess, its still based on someone who's actually played and finished the game.
you realize the first Killzone (see, Killzone 2 is a sequel) came out years before COD4?
In case you don't know what a sequel is: The weapons and atmosphere of the first game carries over to the second.
Now, I'm gonna ask you to use some logic and dip into that shallow pool you call a brain and think: The sequel to a game that came out years before COD4 copied it how?
I think you're confusing Killzone with Mass Effect
to those complaining about the art direction, watch the first 20 minutes of Saving Private Ryan.
The truth is its a style choice to reflect, not only the environment but also the atmosphere of war. Simple as that.

Just because its addicting doesn't mean its a perfect game or deserves a perfect score. In fact, the author of this article makes some valid points, yet his opinion is immediately questioned because he challenged the almighty GTA.
What about this article is unfair exactly? Or what is off base?
Sadly, this is the state of gaming today. Hype sells, plain and simple. This is especially true about legacy games like Zelda, Mario, Metal Gear, GTA, etc or ...

If you believe the $50 million was solely for DLC then I feel sorry for you. Or I feel sorry for MS, because they got ripped off. With that much money they could have funded a new game entirely. The more logical explanation is that that part of it went to DLC, and part of it went to more mundane things like exclusive marketing rights and minor developmental funding.
As far as the DLC goes, Lazlo, one of the producers of the game, stated that the DLC was new mis...
Consider the source of this preview. This is the same site that did a GTA comparison where they stated that the PS3 version does many things better than the 360 version, if only slightly. Yet the gave the edge to the 360 version based solely on personal preference and completely ignoring everything stated in their article.
guys, you have to realize that the 360 fanboys are going to keep doing this until November when they finally get a game to play.
You just have to be patient with them and try not to rub in the awesomness that is the PS3 lineup for the rest of the year. It's just a fact of life that jealousy will make people act stupid.
I just think its funny that in almost every comparison done here, the author concedes the PS3 version does things better, if only "slightly." However, the author negates all that and invalidates the entire comparison when he says.."despite this, MY preference is the 360."
No doubt there are cases of bad demo=bad game.
It's just idiotic to think it's a constant dynamic.
I think demo's themselves are a poor representation of the scope of a game. I have yet played a demo that I've enjoyed for any game that's been released, both high profile or low-key games. Yet I've loved many of the games anyway, such as Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, and Bioshock.
For a game like this, that is obviously about story, it's premature to judge. At least rent the game and play it through before making such judgments.
Also, why are there even 'reviews' for...
I liked the part when he said that blu-ray beat out the "superior HD-DVD format."
I don't know where you're looking, but there is nothing at the bottom right corner of the shots on the site except the site's watermark. Not even in the gameplay videos.
Now, if you are referring to the screenshot used for this story, that is something completely different. So go spread your BS somewhere else.
This seems to be a typical hypocrisy when it comes to PS3 games. Every one of them has to reinvent the wheel and bring something new to the genre otherwise they get marked down in reviews. We saw it happen with many of the earlier releases and it appears the axiom still holds true.
Yet when legacy games like GTA, Mario, Zelda, Halo, Castlevania, etc implement minor changes in later iterations, they are praised and lauded with perfect or near perfect scores. Even COD4, which was i...
GTA IV is another game where more storage capacity would have helped. While what's there is impressive, the fact that its half the game of previous iterations says a lot about the need for more space. Going from San Andreas, which I was playing just prior to GTA IV, to Liberty City was a disappointment.
The size of the city is not the only problem. Look at the audio content. It's almost exactly the same amount of songs and stations compared to past GTA's. While the 360 versions ...
