the funny thing is that Sony gets a share of that money, what with them owning at least 13% of SqEnix.
I just think its funny that, despite the fact that SqEnix is releasing all these games on the 360 first, Sony is still reaping the profits (if there will be any)
Doesn't Sony own something like 13% of SqEnix?
Oh NO!!
The PS3 won't get Star Ocean (until they do)! My oh my, what will I ever play between now and then?
Oh that's right...
Its ok to be happy though and bash the competition. If I only had one big game to look forward to this year in Gears 2 (which I will be playing also), I would gloat about a game that will make little to no impact in the U.S. or in Japan or Europe.
"A shame Tri-Ace said they won't do Multi-platform games this gen"
Just like 2k claimed that Bioshock was not coming to the PS3?
there is no question that this game is multiplat, SqEnix (which Sony owns roughly 13% of) announced it a while back. They are just releasing it on the 360 this fall and PS3 early next year.
it might just be one disk. I remember hearing or reading something from a while back that MS doesn't want or will not allow multiplat games to be more than one disk.
I could be wrong, so if anyone knows feel free to correct me.
These bots also forget that these installs are one time things. Sooo...yeah.
Oh No!! 17 minutes out of a thirty hour game and 12 minutes if you want to play it again! That is assuming that you even need to reinstall the the game between acts the second time through.
That's it, I'm not gonna play this game...
I think I'll go play Mass Effect with its 20 second load times every time I enter a room, or Lost Odyssey with 15 second load times between battles and disk swapping, even on the second play through.
No prob and I agree with you that this explanation may make no difference but I figured I'd give it a shot.
Certain folk on this site are a) willfully ignorant or b)actually ignorant.
Qore, as many have said is:
A PRODUCT you can BUY on PSN
YOU DO NOT NEED IT to play online or get things like standard demos, i.e. the same one that would appear on Xbox LIVE.
IT IS JUST AN OPTIONAL AVENUE to get Sony related content.
YOU DO NOT NEED IT to access PSN or its contents
IT IS A PRODUCT not a service
geez...

I agree with you. As soon as its over gaming sites will put up their "review" of the footage. We saw it with Gears and it's a no-brainer that the same will be applied to one of the PS3's most anticipated titles.
The possibility of this is why I dislike the turn of gaming "journalism." I mean, when sites can start reviewing demos with actual scores, some of which linger on towards the meta-average, its only logical that the next step will b...
I don't think it will be a new city/area. Lazlow discussed what it would contain--new missions, characters, side-quests, etc.
As for the $50 million, I doubt it all went to creating DLC. I believe it went to that, but also to marketing and other boring aspects of the PR environment.
Considering GTA itself cost around $50 million to make, MS is either A) stupid for spending that much for just DLC instead of funding an entire new game; or b) it went to these other asp...
stands next to the highest rated PS3 exclusives, huh?
Im sure
Rachet and Clank
Uncharted
Resistance
MLB: the Show
would all disagree.

except GTA froze on the 360 too
hey, i own both consoles so it doesn't matter nor do I care which scores better. The point was 'why compare NG2's score to Haze?' Trying to make yourself feel better?
yet lower than a three year old remake on the PS3
That's CVG for you. They exaggerate (lie), twist words to make a bigger deal of something than it actually is and take things way out of context. They did it with the dlc for GTA and now they are doing it with MGS.
Regardless, I wouldn't have minded 90 minute cutscenes provided it was a mindblowing experience (which every MG game is).
of course they aren't going to mention where these cutscenes occur. You make it seem like they are all over the place, you rile the fanboys. CVG is the worst at doing this. Remember their "GTA dlc is bigger than San Andreas" comment?
If I had to guess, "cut scenes" means the intro and conclusion. CVG has a tendency of taking things waaay out of context. *cough* GTA DLC *cough* Besides, if you look at all the MGS games, excluding MGS 1, they have decent length opening and ending movies. The movies inserted in the game were not that long at all. So its easy to assume that Kojima would follow the same formula.
In short, I don't think Kojima is stupid to include 90 minute scenes throughout the game because...
hm..something about this game that has the potential to be bothering:
1) since its a Square-Enix title, you can expect there to be a lot of cg cut scenes in the game. But because it is also a multiplat title, it cannot be more than one disk (as per MS' request). So it is very possible that this game may be about 20 hours, if we're lucky.
