@knifefight
The plan is actually to get both Vita and PS3 versions of Dragon's Crown, but PS3 first, since my boyfriend insisted to play with me and he doesn't have his own vita.
I think it's widely accepted in my generation that video games are a form of art, or that video games do have artistic value that can't be found in other art forms.
We have to remember it's a really young medium, and that it's evolving so quickly that people who don't have a major interest in video games probably can't follow what's happening. ( My father is a good example of that, seeing how baffled he was that video games could now look as prett...
Xillia and Dragon's Crown on the same day, I'll have to split my gaming time between those two.
I do agree with that. Persona 3-4 soundtracks are some of the best of the ps2 era, can't wait to see what he comes up with for Persona 5.
Oh and I'm gonna go check those bands you named. :) Thanks for the info!
+ Dragon's Crown, + The Witch and the Hundred Knights?
I know many girl gamers, hardcore gamers. Even my Mom was a gamer in her lifetime. She got everyone to lvl 99 in FFVI, and most of them with a complete Imp equipment set. And that's just on of the games she played. Now I understand she was an exception, but if I inherited my taste for games from someone, it has to be from my mother.
Besides her, I've always had plenty of gamer friends from multiple groups: females, homosexuals, immigrants, straights, alcoholics, top ...
I would have added Catherine, nice use of classical themes that tie into the narrative (Biset's L'Arlésienne comes to mind, and Baba-Yaga too).
And something tells me Dragon's Crown soundtrack is gonna be epic, judging from the trailers.
8-)
Yes, exactly.
But;
Call of Duty is just another GoldenEye in HD,
Final Fantasy is just another Dragon Warrior in HD,
Modnation Racers is just another Diddy Kong Racing in HD,
The Elder Scrolls is just another Might and Magic in HD,
Diablo III is just another Diablo in HD,
Catherine was just another Q-Bert in HD,
...
Do you really expect every new game to create a new...
I guess it's a good thing that the game comes out in english 2 weeks after the japanese version then..?
And when I thought it couldn't get any better, they include a cooking mini-game that just looks much more fun than it should have any right to.
AUUUUUUUUGH, come on august 6, be that time already!
This is both couch and online coop, with any combination of those you can thin of. 2 on the couch, 2 online, 3 on the couch, 1 online, etc.
Only downside: It isn't Vita PS3 Coop, but save files are compatible with both versions.
I like lightning, and I'm old enough a fan to believe that Terra and Celes were way better protagonists than most of those you named that came after.
Hell, I've been playing Final Fantasy since the first one on the nes, years ago when I was just a little kid.
Being an old fan or not has nothing to do with enjoying their new products. And honestly, I really prefer Lightning over Cloud and Squall (But not over Zidane, FF IX's cast is my all-time fav...
If anatomically correct character designs were an important factor of art direction, the video game (and comics, and modern art, and animation, and more) landscape(s) would pretty much be barren wastelands...
It actually sold much more than Atlus expected. Nothing close to a mainstream title, but for such a unique title, it did pretty good all around, both in scores and sales. :)
I don't see how making a Cloud costume is "ignoring" the contribution of the character. I see it more as a kind of hommage and fan service.
And Lightning is not a terrible character at all. Because Final Fantasy XIII was not the best from the series doesn't make it an awful game. There are shades of grey between black and white, you know?
Hey it's not like they're saying "Lightning and cloud IS THE SAME PERSON FROM THE SAME GAME".
It's a dress-up toy that they include with a limited amount of copies. Plenty of companies do it. You could dress as Kos-Mos in SoulCalibur III, and no XenoSaga fan flipped mad about it. Cloud appears in Tactics and that's fine with everyone, even if it's not the same universe or whatever. Cloud appears side by side with GOOFY and MICKEY MOUSE, for chris...
FFVII, of all the ps1 FF titles, is the one that didn't age gracefully.
I've been replaying FFIX recently and it's still as engaging as it was then, but when I started FFVII again, the blocky graphics really lost all their magic. Not a bad game in any way, but I think it's better left as a good memory.
Well that's good news.
I may not enjoy every character's fight style, but even if I only play 3-4 out of the 6 classes available, 15 hours each makes it a tremendous value for a brawler rpg! :D
Add to that the completionist bait of bigger loot for better scores, and this game is sure to last me a long time :)
FINALLY!
Can't wait for them to release teaser trailers, websites, promotional images and all that. Hype just got high!
August 6 is just around the corner now! :)
