Some people seem try to make Vita sound bad, and uses the most silly arguments against it. So much nonsense. A decent smartphone is not cheap either, Iphone certainly is not, and it's twice the price of the vita or more where I live.

BUT the vita is a console that have it all.
It have app support, fleshed out set of features and awesome hardware. And games for all audiences!
From uncharted to tetris, everything in between! and for various pricepoints! <...

Killzone 2 I think also deserves a mention.
It had full hud but you can turn it off.

I know the ps3 uses the old sata, If it wasnt clear enough that everything after "SSD should in theory" is about "Next gen" hardware and possibilities and some of my thoughts.
But about the latest SATA it has a 6Gb/s transfer speed which is 750MB/s. Ps3's old sata if Im not mistaken allows only half of that, 3Gb/s.

THE VITA is teh shiet, its futuristic and powerful and is a high quality device with so many possibilities and things done right!

EVERYTHING but a 2-3 titles are mis-priced and the Memory cards sure are way to far out. But 40-50 USD (Suggested retail price) for a full console type of game in your pocket how can people complain? and there is cheaper games, PSP games are supported and Im sure PS1 games will be too as even weak ass cellphones can emulate PS1.

If they actually were to do it the controller would need an advanced I/O port on it, dont know if it does. Either way... NO, just no. Multitouch would need to be there from the start or never... add on peripherals like that are almost always kind of dumb.

Very true but If current gen consoles somehow were launched with SSD of todays standard then games would be designed around and take full advantage of it.

Current gen games arent made with that in mind, but hopefully next gen consoles will come with SSD's and the games and OS will benefit from it.

I can remember the last time I payed full out for a regular edition game.
Heck I bought special/limited editions GT5, Kz3 R3 and lots of other Ps3 games at launch for between half and 5/7 of the full price.

In Norway FULL retail price for standard edition Console games are 550-600 NOK.
But other games especially exclusives I can find for 300-450 NOK all new. some even Limited/colector editions.
Gears 3, GOW 3, GT5, KZ2 and 3, Resistance 3, Uncharted 2...

About the ps4 I could see Sony hangin on to core gamers and give us more advanced hardware than the other 2 and push games like they do today.

They already have a strong share of the core market seeing a lot of core gamers prefer the ps3 to the 360 and wii.

IMO Next gen standard should be atleast native 1080p at 60FPS.
Since SONY/Microsoft is likely to push 3D more, 60FPS would be the standard I think since it gives a quick enough refresh for each eye to not look choppy.

And then comes some odd games that wil do something better above the standards, higher res, more frames and better 3D like a lot of sports and racing games does today.
