Until OLED/AMOLED enters the market plasma will rule with superior image quality and awesome refreshrates and virtually no input lag.
And I heard plasma is the only way to get true 1080p 3D images, I dont know for sure, I bought my panasonic before they came with reasonably priced 3D plasmas but Im happy with it and will hold on to it until it dies or Amoleds get affordable enough to me.

BLURAY movies are usually mpeg2 yes but also H.264 and Mpeg4, but Blu-ray is a disc.
you can store whatever you want in any format you want.
its upside is capacity, downside... its kind of slow though youd be suprised how fast a 12x drive actually is (54MB/s) as opposed to the 2x found in ps3 (9MB/s).
And I for one think Blu-ray movies look awesome, it doesnt have any competition as far as sound and picture quality goes on the market today.

HD tv's came out like 8 years ago, and the 360 is 6 years old.
In other words its old and if a new console released today it would be likely to be 10 times more powerful already if not 20, and it would have features and possibilities beyond what most people on here seem to think.

Hoping it will be something in between Kz3 and 2 gameplay and design. it would fit the vita the most, while satisfying the core fans of the franchise.

Dont need? seriously every console generation have had too little ram, there is no harm to have plenty since RAM is so cheap and besides you dont know what you will want to do in the future that may require a lot of ram.
Consoles are not pc's but even for a next gen console EVEN 4 GB would be tiny IMO.

Dont care about the wii though I think it runs some version of open GL/ES, but the ps3 runs with PSGL wich pretty much = open GL/ES + LibGCM, PSSG and Nvidia Cg as extensions.

But the flash cards... HELL NO, they should be priced at 1/3rd or 1/4th of what they are now... >____<

yeah I thought this would be something else, ofc I expected fast paced combat and katana slashing, but I expected a variation of gameplay, stealth, gunplay and more.
Also I expected and wanted it to be dark and serious, like the first trailers.
And the visuals looked a lot crisper and cleaner before.
It might turn out as an awesome game but the vga trailer was a let down for me and I guess its not quite the game most of us expected or imagined.
Would be great if it came to pc too, like originally planned.
Its a good game, and I would buy it again on pc for the right price.

I believe most of you are disappointed, I am too.
It looked somewhat promising earlier, like a fast paced Stealth and hack n slash/cqc sort of style game, but now it seemed like any other hack and slash.. just WORSE. Really just standing on 1 spot fighting stupid, jouvenile looking dudes with katanas, Seriously? and the visuals looked washed out and cheap as well, a solid 30fps @ 720p rather than this... and yeah Raiden sounded like an annoying dick though that touch with the Metal ge...
Cant say Im overwhelmed in any way, but it looks promising enough.
Im sure its a downloadable game, although one with pretty fleshed out gameplay not that Ive seen any gameplay.
Its just that it would make sense if it was a fps or tps style co-op game. And blowing shit up, collecting and building stuff might be a lot of fun along with shooting monsters/zombies trying to hold them off. Sounds cool to me, but I dont think I'd pay full retail price for it. Thats jus...

Better be at a reasonable price when it launches in the rest of the world. 35-40 USD IMO sounds like a reasonable price range for a 32GB card.
Im sure Ill buy a Vita anyways near launch but Im going to have to live without storage or certain games that require them for a while if a Vita card is going to cost a fortune.

But Imo they need to rework the ingame menu and some features/make things convenient.
Also I really would like real trophy autosync, like Achievements on 360.
And the option to have saves uploaded and stored instantly after I quit a game.
And if possible Sony should let us be able to defrag our drives. A defrag could speed up some systems quite a bit.
Yeah Kz2 is the best FPS on ps3, best this gen in my opinion atleast.
They made everything seem so real and alive, and some think the controls sucked, well I loved it for what it was and it was a pretty damn good attempt at making a control scheme that haves you feel like your character is real, a bit lag they patched it became a better though not perfect. Hope they nail the controls in kz4.
