@Ck1x
Very true SSD would may add to the price of the systems. But it is very possible,I believe even in this economy.
Many times new systems have launched with new tech.
the first Ps1' were HIGH END cd players, Ps2 had DVD amd the emotion engine and PS3 have cell and Blu-ray.
And opposed to Blu-ray a SSD drive wouldnt be shit. I do not expect that much R&D, and experimental tech behind the next consoles and in that sense a me...
Regret gaming?
Nope, I dont think Ill regret that.
I think I will rather regret the stuff I couldnt or didnt do.
Like jump out of a plane with a parachute. see the world, own a race/sports car, Hit on that girl in college, make my ideas real and perhaps get rich on them, do something great perhaps a big effort for a bigger cause to make life better for others.
Time spent gaming is time well spent, I had fun and most of it was spent instead of ...
I am on my second VITA. I broke the first one. Smashed it in a car door by accident, it was unfixable.
But my insurance gave me a new one.
I am now thankfull it doesnt have any built in memory or else I would have lost all my stuff and game progress! I just inserted my 32GB Mem card to my new vita and Bam, 3 seconds passed and it was all there ready to go.
So I do not agree with you but those mem cards are sure way too expensive. a 50% price cut on the mem ca...
Love my ps3 it was top notch and is the best purchase I have ever made.
But in these days it is very dated. It is probably dated when compared to wiiU, saying probably because we doesnt know much about its specs and none of the games shown for it this far have been impressive technically. I mean not next gen worthy, not anything like the UE 4 demo or the Square enix demo.
And WiiU doesnt look like a typical powerful machine.
First of all it is a tiny console,...
Then you better cough up some extra buck for every game running of a new Flash based game format.
Discs are going to be the shit and Blu-ray spinning at x12 speed gives about the same performance as a cheap HDD if Im not mistaken and as we know games installed entirely on a HDD still uses some time to load.
I bet the loading times wil be cut dramatically, because the Blu-ray drives will be way faster than what is inside Ps3 and the next gen consoles should ha...

Dead space 3 fans... exist?
LOL!
Dead space and Dead speace 2 have fans. 99% of them doesnt like what they are doing to Dead space 3.
WTF is up with Visceral/EA these days?
Like when they said how much DS3 need to sell to survive.
Are they just gonna talk bull from now on?
*Not shipping in the next 12 months.*
Not expecting the next XBOX to launch within that timeframe anyways so I kind of knew this already.
Crytek announced last year that RYSE were no longer in developement for the 360, but for a next gen system.
From what Ive played.
1: Dragon Age 2
Self explainatory. sucky, buggy, lazy boring shit.
Supposedly a sequel to the critically acclaimed DA: origins.
2: HAZE
So much for all the hype and the big words from Free radical.
Wiritng/acting were very mediocre. And I couldnt stand the feel of the gameplay one bit. Movement/aiming... there was no feel or depth to it.
3: Mass effect 2 (Ps3)
I love the game, I got i...
Storage drive sold separately or available in High end SKU..
Minimum disk size is 250GB.
Still can not copy Media from external devices. Only stream it over the Network or USB.
A big drive then becomes pretty useless for people who buy mostly physical copies unless they also want to install their games to the storage drive.
Wow... Deja vu.
Joking aside, I think DVR isnt such a bad idea.
The PSX had it and in these days...
A new iteration of Cry engine!?
BRING IT!
Currently I am toying with the Cryengine 3 SDK and it is a lot of fun.
I have made a few simple maps and tested how shit works.
Currently though I have no idea have to move objects, entities, vegetation etc once I have placed it.
Or well I can move Vegetation but only along a fixed line. cant place it freely anymore just slide it back and forth.
And neither do I know how to turn objects ...
Im going to expect that Sony makes the most powerful and competent machine next gen also.
Ps1 and Ps2 were not the strongest but the three latest Playstation Consoles have all been the most powerful. PSP, Ps3 and the very recent VITA.
So I reckon that PS4 will follow that trend.
I bet sony's Playstation division and Kaz loves gamers. Loves to satisfy us because they know we love them and that true gamers never die so we are a reliable market if th...
"Even if, as some have said, the Wii U is only “as powerful” or “slightly more powerful than” current-gen systems, I don’t see the problem. I never hear anyone complain that iPad games don’t look as good as PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 ones"
LOL, stopped reading there.
Indirectly comparing Wii-U to Ipad... GOOD WORK.
Ipad is a Mobile device and not a Home entertainment/ gaming system in the sense that a PC or the OLD Ps3 would be.
WII-...
I laugh so hard at the trolls saying that Nintendo is doomed now.
Yeah wow what a problem, now their BONUS is only 80% of last years bonus.
Its like
"I thought I was doomed too when when I couldn't have fries on top of my Pizza!" LOL.
No in that case they would be ignoring the Ps3 wich sells faster and is slowly closing the gap in total sales being launched the year after the 360.
The Wii have outsold them both by a HUGE margin, but it is not a current gen system.
The only thing that seperates the Wii from the Gamecube, xbox and PS2 is default motion controller and when it came out, and arguably its Web browser.
In my opinion deciding system gens should be based on features and po...
@ BXbomber
Well its 2012 and our high tech handheld console can not play ps1 games. LOOOL!
I love my MGS and Rayman on the Ps1.
And IMO SONY needs to get Ps1 emulation on their new system. When any shitty Android phone can do it then the vita can do it too.
And full Remote play should come also. I do not get why Sony left that up to DEVELOPERS to implement... Its just as stupid as leaving it to devs to implement Music player (Ps3). <...
Very nice looking.
I really liked the jungle scene rGOt have created.
The last part just looked incredible and with destructable and interactive abjoects in it it would be a very nice playground for fighting CEPH or CELL soldiers.
Nice work, I just got in to Cryengine 3 and I reckon I have a long way to go before I may create something as nice as this.
We need more cards like this.
@ andibandit
Ive had a PS3 since october 07.
And I love it.
But why bring Ps3 up like that?... Downloading tech demos for Benchmarking purposes isn't really a console thing. Its safe to say we were talking PC.
@ preetam93
Should do the trick. At least your setup supports Dx 11. I can't Imagine what my setup will behave like tryin to run this.
@ Parallax_Films
Yeah It looks good, when this tech and deta...
Yeah, that would be cool.
But it sucks that my pc prolly cant run it because it is not compatible with DX11.
AMD Athlon II x4 640 @ 3GHz
4GB RAM
Radeon HD 4670.
... I would predict roughly 3 FPS on average, Haha.
A lot of the features and tech is here but it not really present in current games.
I game on PC too and to say that PC is already next gen is to inflate it a bit.
What is true is that the technology is here, both software and hardware it takes to make a significant leap. But Ive seen no developer push out a game yet that mirrors my vision of a next gen game.
What is available is basically more shiny versions of current gen games. But the tech demos fr...
