Really likeing the surpession effect from fire. This is what a lot of games miss out on, infantry combat is all about fire(surpression) and move. Not many game model the actuall effects at being shot at, the fact you shit yourself and can't really do a lot.

Shame he only touched on multiplayer, I thought the main front of this game was MP, but it was only touched upon, would like to hear more about it.

RO1 was sevearly underrated, its a truly brilliant game and didnt get the recognition it deserved, especially comming from such a small studio.

RO2 looks to have built on all the apsects that made RO something different from the the nomral FPS market.

I like the way it looks a bit slicker, as RO was a bit clunkey, its by no means a COD, but it looks evebn more realistic.

Lots hope EA sort their dedicated severs out.

BF:BC 1 & 2 were plauged with problems on release, hell some of the BF:BC2 severs have been rubbish on Xbox lately.

Or what about the trip home when you've finally got your hands on a game you've been waiting years for, you can't play it in the car, so you feavourously tear open the box and thumb through the manual like a junkie trying to a fix.

That new games smell, you don't care whats in the manual, the fact you have the game and you have the manual is all that matters.

I'm sure most of us have had games that did this to us.

Rule of thumb, it's normally half of what developers say.

You've jumped to so many conclusions its crazy.

I've played every battlefield since since 1942, and I've loved most of them.

Thats right, BF1942, BF Road to Rome, BF:Vietnam (the first one), desertcombat (BF1942 Mod), BF2, Project reality (BF2 mod), Battlefield 2142, BF:BC1, BF 1942, BF:BC2, BF Vietnam (BF:BC2 mod), so don't talk crap about me being a "casual gamer".

If you knew anything you would know that BF:BC wa...

TBO its a bit hypocritical seeing as diced made MOH, which copied Call Of Duty in many ways.

I'm greatful for Battlefields differeing angle on the FPS genre, although I havn't found the BF:BC company as good as Call of duty, BF3 is looking like a breath of fresh air for gamers, where we seem to have got stuck in a rut of same old same old.

Lets hope it blows the FPS market out of the water, better games benifit all gamers.

We've ...

yes seems they are putting 2 and 2 together and making 24

Limited edition seems to mean "brand new" which gets you extra features, like map packs etc. Whereas you don't get these features if you buy 2nd hand (ie trade ins), unless you buy the "extras" as DLC.

Its to recover losses from people buying 2nd hand games.

At least that way more money goes to the developers making the games rather than just the people who sell them.

Wooo, so many games to look forward to this year.

Bad Company is watered down Battlefield to suit consoles.

Battlefield was originally designed for massive 64 player battles over exspansive maps, using land air and sea vehicles along side infantry combat.

Although BF2 was a great game, the pinicale of BF games has to be be the realism mod that was created, turning a great game almost perfect (for its generation).

Nobody should learn anything from the Dev's at Atari.

Having whole chunks of a game missing, 3 weeks after release is unacceptable.

Until we realise this devs/publishers are just going to release broken games and try and patch their way out of it.

On day of release the game should work, we've paid our money for a workin game.

Something billed as a MMO where most of the online stuff is broke is just 2 fingers up at the...

Yeah but Dragon Rising looked good in trailers and was absolute tosh to play.
Beware Codemasters marketing, they are very clever at making s**t look good.

Lol GT5 is not sim.

I play rFactor, LiveForSpeed and the GTR series, plus various other SimBin games.

Play them with a proper steering wheel and come back to me and tell me that GT5 is a "sim".

Pfffft kids and fanboys have no idea what they're talking about.
