Yeah, I've been hyped over too many games now to get that buzz anymore. The best games are always the ones you least expect to impress you, like little big planet and Fallout 3 (In my opinion). GTA4 and Farcry 2 were my biggest let downs of 2008, lets hope Killzone 2 isn't one of 2009's :).
I have a PS3 and really looking forward to Killzone 2 but slightly worried by the videos, ok the graphics are good but the shooting mechanics, Ai and animations just look wrong. The same thing happen with Farcry 2, it just felt crap to play.
The title of the new article is very misleading. They say "proof" then go onto say "It could have been a bored 12 year old". How is that proof?
Can't beat a good scaremongering though, especially if its PS3 related.
Surly a fair test would be to buy £120 worth of PC then compare it to the xbox, or buy £220 worth and compare it to the PS3.

It got boring, I fail to see how that's /my/ fault. I thought I paid developers to keep me entertained. Obviously that's not in their criteria anymore, as long as they have:
Well cut trailers: check
A massive hype machine: check
Fingers in the pockets of reviewers: check
Good marketing and advertising: check
Shiny graphics: Check

1 out of about 30 then. It sold lots of copies due to hype and marketing, I fell for it too. But traded it in a long time ago. High sales does not make it GOTY, not in the slightest.
Because its not your usual "PS3 is crap because its PS3". And from watching videos I do get a sense of staleness.
I want a reason to buy a PS3 but again here's something that doesn't justify me forking out more money.
Your title says "Hate trophies" then you finish with

I don't have a PS3, so its interesting to see what people think of home, obviously not everyone is going to like it, I try and read as many views as I can so I can figure out for myself what somethings like (Without actually having to fork out for a PS3). I would say this guy has some valid points.
I don't now anyone who would have picked GTA4 as GOTY, so how they came to that conclusion is beyond me.
I still hvan't played all the original maps let alone d/l ones :)
