F1 2010 sounds better.
If its in theater mode then its lag cause by theater mode, i guess the server recods the information and there is lag between you and the server recording, this happens all the time, in game it looks fine but when you look back in Theater mode it looks messed up.
I would say on the whole hit detection is fine.
100% agree, there are maybe 1 or 2 maps in BO where using a sniper is possible, but only in a couple of locations.
Even the small maps in MW2 had areas where you had long lines of sights, normally from fooftops etc. It seems on BO they stuck a builing in the way of anything more than a few meters long.
Even on jungle in BO all the lines of sight are obscured by trees and hills, plus as theres only 1 high point everyone knows where you are instantly.

Something about simulation.....?
So basically you cant be dissapointed in a PS3 game or the PS3 fanboys swarm all over you. IGN is a gaming site, its all about playing games and having fun, they are entitled to their opinion. No ones there to deliberatly bring down a certain console, there are no consiparcies, just peoples views and experiances.
I agree 100% with being dissapointed with GT5, I bought a PS3 2 years ago to JUST play GT5, I finally got it and played it and felt really let down, ok my expectations where ...
Why bring the 360 into it, GT5 is being judged as a standalone exclusive game for the PS3, and its failing in so many ways. You don't even need to bring the 360 or forza or 360 fanboys into the discussion.
The facts are are that GT5 is dissapointing after such a long wait, I mean its what I bought a PS3 for all those years ago :)
Fingers crossed for KZ3
I would prefer them not to be there, put it this way I bought a brand new s2000 over a used one, i couldnt bring myself to drive a shoddy perted one with no cockpit view. I bought GT5 for GT5, not GT4 ported cars!
Does anyone feel the handling of the cars just isn't quite right. Everything seems to go into oversteer as soon as you brake, everything just seems to be lacking grip, the Elise challenge on the top gear track was rock solid. Ive seen that Elise go round that track IRL and it had way more grip than I did, the flat out right and left just had me drifting thoughout :( (using a wheel too!)
A few hours in I belive its true, unfortunatly :(
Its called emmersion. Playing video-games that mimic reality so that you forget your playing a game. When I hit a wall at 60mph becuase i made a mistake and there are no rammifcations I'm again remined I'm playing a game :(
I belive PD set my expectations, even if it was the fact it took 6 years to make. I play the game and think "This took 6 years, wtf were they doing?"
The driving is actually nice, but the load times are killing me, it has by far the worst loadtimes of any next gen game I've ever played, even after the 20GB install. I don't understand this ins't a port or a game whipped up in a year, this is a fully PS3 exsculisve optimised 6 years and £60Million off...
100% agree. Why is there loading time for absolutly everything! Even after the install.
If you buy this game find something to do while it loads track etc, like read a book or play Forza 3 :D. Its seriously frustrating.
Fanboy much.
It ok, but the mind numbing load screens and poor unintuitive interface is killing the game. The actual racing is quite fun once you get there
The shadows on the cars and interiors are nasty jaggy things that flicker. Everything else is nice enough, but the whole thing seems sterile.
I had nightmares last night of seeing the GT loading screen over and over again. Oh wait, that was the real thing arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I can sum up GT5 in 1 word "Meh". Got mine early from shopto.net, after about 2 hours installing patches, upadtes etc, I finally got into a race, and I just felt overwhelming dissapointment :(
Probably about right, its just a bit meh :(
Hoping it gets better!
Black ops doesn't last 3 hours (I'be played about 35 hours MP and 5 hours campaign, 5 hours zombies and still going)
Without MP they could at least up the co-op to over 4 players, sounds pretty poor :(
