No way am I paying $150 for a limited edition version, but I'm looking forward to closing myself in a dark room to play through this game nonetheless.
Only glitch I ever found in Wipeout was during a 12-race tournament: I won first place in all twelve races, but right after race 7, my score and that of the guy in second place got switched so I ended up coming in second for the tourney.
Never had any freezing or anything besides that.
I read this and though they were talking about TheGameReviews... maybe pick a different acronym?
... for fanboys and Sony investors :)
As long as Sony is selling enough consoles to keep my PS3 stocked with good games, I couldn't care less.
If a 5 is "average," and 8.5 is top-notch... just not "oh god I crapped my pants" good.
Yeah, I've yet to play either, but then again, I've never been much into action games like that.
I expect them to refresh their console with everyone else, but it seems so much smarter to simply update the hardware of the current Wii -- pack in controllers with the WiiMotion Plus built in, add a hard drive, perhaps some more graphical power. Consumers aren't interested in the new thing, they just want a Wii, so give them a Wii.
The glory days of gaming being for us are now over. Glad I lived to play then :)
Yeah, I remember reading something about Europe finally getting first dibs of a major title that isn't a soccer game, but I can't remember if LBP was the game. Good for you guys, it's about time companies started taking Europe seriously.
Yeah, I'm still unsure how to feel about WaW going back to WW2; I really enjoy WW2 games, but because I wasn't alive during that time, I don't feel the same connection that I do with, say, CoD4.
If Treyarch can bring their A game to WaW, I don't doubt I'll play it and enjoy it. I just don't know if I can hold my breath for that.
I'm not saying they weren't done well, but I would expect Treyarch to try more of their own stuff before using Infinity Ward's ideas.
That list mirrors CoD4 almost exactly... I dunno about that.
Do a barrel roll!
I'm no collector, so I never look twice at the more expensive versions. Only time I even consider it is for online games, and only if the gift is more than cosmetic.
Hells yeah, post-apocalyptic sci-fi MMO is just what the doctor ordered in a genre over-populated with dwarves, elves, and magic armor.
LittleBigRickRoll?
I don't think either Resistance 2 or Gears 2 is attracting as much attention as this game. What a strange world the gaming industry has become: two alien shoot-em-ups are being overshadowed by a cute platformer.
What they really need to do is make a line of Sackboy dolls and sell them in a bundle with a copy of the game. People would buy a copy even if they didn't have a PS3.
I expected an open beta test, honestly, not this invite-only "WE HAVE 5,800 INVITES FIRST COME FIRST SERVED OH GOD OUR SERVERS" crap.
Unless Sony drops the price of the PS3 again, the 360 is almost assured sales victories worldwide for the holiday season. I think the most exciting part is gonna be how console exclusives sway consumers this season.
