How in the hell can it be an Invention of the year when it's not even out yet? You don't even know if it'll work as advertised, besides that, its an EYE TOY rip-off and others.
What an EPIC FAIL by Time Magazine, they are giving too much credt to MS and Natal as if they invented the Camera-based Motion Control for Videogames and GUIs.
Hello I'm an active user on N4G, and a PS3 Fan, I've just registered here to give my comments:
This is like the 2nd article I've seen on your website concerning this, which is all and good but what about the Biases and Double Standards in our own Industry? I've yet to read an article concerning this, and yet you're website devoted 2 articles to this, which IMO is not that a big of a deal. Why would the other media takes us seriously when our very own isn't any better?
What about the Gaming Industry's own Bias and Double Standards?
Maybe we should clean up our own backyard first of such garbage before we go on looking at others, you know, Just saying.
It's going to have to beat Wii Sports and Wii Fit to have that distinction.
Not only does it have to sell huge early, but it needs to have some serious legs inorder to beat those 2.
Besides paying Thousands of Dollars for it, it looks like you have to spend some more for a normal controller.
Even if they did dip the button separately in gold, it would still be slippery as hell, making it bad for precision gaming and long play sessions. But then again, nothing about this is even remotely practical, nor economical. Makes you really scratch your head, just thinking, who the hell, even buys this kind of things?
It seems it only applies to PS3 exclusive games. You won't hear the Gaming Media mentions it, when it comes to XBOX 360 exclusive or BIG NAME Multi-plats, if it does, it comes with an excuse, so that the game will not be penalize. How Fvcking convenient!
This Stupid Bias and Double Standards by the Gaming Media, is what ruining the Videogames INDUSTRY.

Give me a FVCKING break! How in the holy hell is this any different from countless other Movies or TV shows, with gratuitous violence that's being shown today? Is it because it's a videogame? This kind of double standards, doesn't fly anymore. If Movies, TV Programs, Novels can have all this kinds of sh!t, then why in the hell can't it be the same for videogames?

I'll admit I'm not up to date concerning Magic: the Gathering on the TCG scene, last time I bought cards for it was back in '05, though I still have several decks constructed. Yeah, screw the fricking BANNED/RESTRICTED rules they've implemented, my BALANCE/BLACK VISE deck is still the best:D
I'll be checking this one out. Hopefully, it brings back all the good memories back in the day, but boy, time sure does fly.
Just take a look at Sony, you have Sucker Punch and Naughty Dog both making excellent platformers on the PS2, but the jump to the PS3 sees both of them dropping this in favor of more realistic games. As the market shifts so too must they, because of this we got INFAMOUS and UNCHARTED instead, which are both great games.
Unless SONY decides to build another team or parcel them to another 2nd Party developer, we may never see JAX AND DAXTER nor SLY COOPER on the PS3.
I think the gaming media with their stupid bias and double standards are ruining the gaming industry, more than anything else.
If it was damaged I think it's because IW, ACTIVISION and KOTICK are all @$$H0LES more than anything else.
I guess only a small portion would be able to use it then:P
1. Mass Effect- I have this one on my PC along with THE WITCHER, both games still unfinish.
2. Halo- They could keep this one.
3. Gears of War- We already have UNCHARTED.
4. FORZA- Why would we need this one, when we have GT which is infinitely better
5. Splinter Cell: Conviction - Never played any of the series, I'm a huge Metal Gear fan. If it comes good, if not, then just play it on the PC.

I just put "others" because I don't know what's the name of the Dreamcast camera as well as the ones you could use for the PC. I think there is also a TV that has Camera-based motion controls for its GUI that debuted way before Natal, I think during TGS07, I don't know it's name nor it's manufacturer.
But the fact of the matter still remains, my contention still stands and that MS did not invent Camer...
