IMO fight sticks are great for fighting games that uses 6 buttons (sf4, etc.) but for fighting games like TEKKEN that uses only 4 buttons, the DS3 is superior from what I've experience.
DISCLAIMER: Probably because I learn Tekken 3 from PSX, hence my natural affinity for the DS controller, as opposed to learning SF at the arcades.

This is because it is easier to transition move to move just by tapping the d-pad, instead of using the stick with your wrist ex. Devil Jin: crou...

COMMON SENSE: Any game that needs to be justified for its asking price, is simply not worth it.

From what I've seen, common sense seems to be a rarity this days.

I think it should be mandatory for every new IP, to be released between April-August, during the lean gaming months where it could have benefited from the exposure, instead of Fall where it could get overlooked.

As it stands, I'm going to pass up on this one.

With Eyepet coming and the Motion control in spring do you think that the Japanese people would forego this in favor of MS camera peripheral, a company that traditionally does not do well in the japanese market? That's alot of wishful thinking there.

Besides Camera based games is nothing new in the japanese market, they've seen it already though the Eyetoy and the PS Eye, so whatever luster Natal may hold for the American Press maybe lost to them.

The only thing that...

The next iteration of the cell is going to be a joint project between Toshiba, Sony and IBM.

The planned next-generation semiconductor will have 45-nanometre circuitry -- even narrower than the circuitry planned for "cell", a 65-nanometre microprocessor being developed by the two companies and IBM Corp (IBM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) .

"Cell" is expected to power Sony's next-generation game console.

Wow I thought GameTrailers has finally shed off their Xbox bias but that was just wishful thinking. They can't give a PS3 exclusive game it's rightful due, while an

Come next gen, MS needs to think hard on what disc drive they need on their next XBOX, as it becomes more apparent that DVD's simply won't cut it anymore. Should they develop a new proprietary format, revive HD-DVD or simply put a BlU-RAY (and line SONY's pockets)? Which ever way they choose the next XBOX would be more expensive to produce than the PS4.

Another thing is the CPU, more and more we are finding out that parallel processing is the way to go. Having no proper R&D t...

We've already heard alot of wii developers talking about the possibility of porting their games to PS3, and the same thing will happen to Natal games. I think a lot of people are "conveniently" forgetting that the Playstation Motion Control system consists of a wand and a camera. Yep, a camera.

Now think about it from that perspective, plus include the word "SIGMA" and let that sink in. Believe me we will be having another of those "M$ funding PS3 games&...

M$ will not be able to justify xbox live's gold pricing, if the 360 has a browser. Since everyone with a 360 will now have access to netflix, twitter, facebook, last fm etc.

Why for the life of me, would anyone pay $100 for this? When you can play all the games shown (burnout, space invaders, ricochet and katamari), better on a controller that comes free with your system.

How can they announce a slim when according to Greenberg MS won't even have any press conference.
http://scrawlfx.com/2009/09...

Besides MS is just asking for trouble in making a slim, it's probably more logical to release a 360 "OBESE".

MS- According to Greenberg MS will not have any press conference, so it's pretty safe to assume that there will be no new game/major announcements for the xbox.

so Sony is going to win by default. How big? Will just have to wait and see.

Unlike the PS3, the 360 has been affordable at a mass market price for a long time, so I don't think this will have a significant impact on its sales, besides the 360 already had a $299 PRO before albeit with less hd space.

IMO those that want a 360, probably has bought them already. Because if a $200 priced console (The cheapest console out there) did not vault the 360 to the top, I doubt the $299 Elite will.
