The thing with Nier is that everything about the game was great with the exception of the game play and the lack of polish. Pretty much every review out there(even the negative ones) agreed that had SE given the game the amount of attention and polish they give their more mainstream games like Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy it would have been a much better game.

Yeah gotta agree with you Baka. The stuff in this deluxe set isn't really useful or anything. I mean no one is gonna wear it(or use the pillowcase) and you can't really display them or anything. The coolest thing about it is the pizza box it comes in.
The soundtrack and artbook on the other hand are great everyone likes a good art book with concept art and character artwork in it and if you like the soundtrack then having the disc is awesome.

Most times this is a bad thing(unless the game has been out forever in which is just a money saver) But a game as new as this having to merge servers means either they launched with to many servers and are now needing to merge them. Or there are to many players quitting and they need to merge the servers so the game doesn't seem like a ghost town.

While there are actors in Hollywood who can voice act the majority of them can't and phone in performances. Look at pretty much any movie game tie in. The ones that got the actors from the movies are crap despite those same actors being incredible in the movie in question. It's odd really as one would think if someone can act then they should be able to voice act but it's really not that simple.

I'm not saying the guy isn't talented. I'm saying the work he did for the Mass Effect games wasn't all that impactful. It was kinda just there. To me it seems as though that may be the reason Bioware may have chosen to go with someone else this time around. This is the end of the trilogy and it would be nice to have a soundtrack that added to the emotion and drama that's gonna come along with it. Something the music in the first 2 games didn't do.
What I meant by ripoff is that the music is all almost direct arrangements from the Silent Hill games and since those were written by Akira it was annoying he didn't get the credit for it all.
Gamers knew he made it but the regular person off the street didn't. All the movie composer did was arrange them he didn't write them and since those arrangements were near identical it was like he was taking credit for Akira's work. I know that wasn't the case but ...

The silent hill movie soundtrack was almost a rip off in my opinion. It sounded to close to the original game songs and in many cases could have simply been a copy and paste(which would have been better as Akira Yamaoaka would have gotten more credit for it). The guy didn't put his own spin on it at all I think but hey it's just my opinion.

I love the hell outta the Mass Effect games but I never really thought the music was all the strong. It really sounded just like any other sci fi franchise. It added to the sci fi feel but didn't go beyond that. It never really added to the emotion or anything like say the Xenosaga music did for example but it did it's job.
As long as the new composer isn't completely useless I don't think it will be that big of a change.

Reason being is that Bioware have always bashed J-RPGs for doing the same old thing time and time again but that's EXACTLY what Bioware has been doing since they came onto the scene.

Alot of people would rather pay a extra 10 bucks to play the game then pay a few 100 bucks to upgrade their PC to be able to play it.
Personally I would never play a Diablo on console simply because of the control issues. That said there are plenty who would not mind and it would in fact be a smart choice for those who are not already die hard PC gamers.

Blizzard takes their time with the games they make. Doesn't matter how many millions of copies Diablo 3 sells. It will take quite awhile for the expansion packs and even longer for a 4th game(which will happen believe you me)

Yeah it looks incredible but it also looks sluggish slow and clunky.
Watching it really makes me miss the first 3 Crash games. They were so much fun. Everything that came after those games was just a waste of a good series.
